Companies that are well run (business wise) have lines of credit so they can cover payroll until their payment comes in from insurance. If you're an employee, you should report this to your state's DOL. If you're an IC and can afford to do so, tell them you'll have to stop transcribing until they've caught up your pay (not very feasible). You could also suggest they apply at their bank for a line of credit to cover payroll for this situation.
