I have recommended a complete blood count, sedimentation rate, and s/l NCR reactor or reactive protein to determine whether this might be some persistent low-grade infection.  TIA.

Here's what I'd give them: "I have recommended a complete blood count, sedimentation rate, and NCR reactor or reactive protein to determine whether this might be some persistent low-grade infection." (redundant but verbatim)

If you have to expand abbreviations, then I would give them: "...rate, and non-cross reactor or reactive protein to determine..."
