"Amortization" of the Uterus? Not. Any ideas? - antigeekess

Posted: Apr 09, 2013

Asian doc is saying this poor woman has "amortization" of  the uterus.  (Maybe she's a mortgage broker.)  And even though I have one, I'm no expert on them.

Any ideas what is probably meant here?

can you give the sentence - please

History of uterine bleeding with [____] of the uterus in 2005. - antigeekess

...so it has to do with bleeding (?)

embolization? - mtic

maybe?
I don't think so, but thanks... - antigeekess

She's saying it very slowly, like she's sounding out an unfamiliar word. AmortizIation, actually, with an extra "i" in it. It's pretty clear what she's saying. This is a matter of her English sucking, basically. Probably going to be a word that 'looks' like "amortizIation" in somebody else's handwriting that she's trying to read.
endometrial ablation? - mtic

:) hard to say when we can't hear it - just another suggestion
That's what it 'should' be... - antigeekess

...and what occurred to me first. Not even close to what she's actually saying, though. A-mor-tiz-i-a-tion. Meh. She doesn't know what she's talking about. I'm giving her a blank.

Does she still have the uterus? Maybe had a morcellation of it. nm - NYMT

,

Agree that this is probably what it - SHOULD be....(see msg)

....though I've heard some dictate the word "morselization." (or "morcellization"?) I'm not sure if that's a real word or not, but you know how if enough people use it, they start to THINK it's the correct word! LOL.

Need Some Ideas.
May 24, 2012

Well this whole transcription thing is not going well. Duh! With a really bad work schedule, an hour commute each way and now the threat of the hospital outsourcing our department, I am trying to think of something I can do from home besides work for peanuts for a MTSO. I am expecting my first child soon and really want to be home with him.  Does anyone have a friend or family member who has successfully implemented her own business (perhaps with a transcription background) and if so, ...

Dec 11, 2013

Tried testing for Accentus, but my foot pedal would not play the voice file.  It did absolutely nada.  I could not go backward or fast forward.  I was able to hear the test voice file just fine, so I went ahead and hit the tab to take the test.  I transcribed 4 words, went to back up, and I couldn't.  Any suggestions as to why my stinking foot pedal would not work?  It works fine when I am transcribing for my present service.    ...
