Why can't someone from QA/QC/QXYZ be available to answer questions? - I do not get it!

If accuracy was so important, why not give us all tools necessary to produce accurate documents?  Is it because the number of errors would be cut down by allowing us to ask the decision makers questions?  Would they then have to give out more incentive and quarterly bonuses?  I may have answered my own question.

If they were truly interested in OUR LEARNING to get the reports perfect, FLUENCY would have available to EVERYONE the he/she corrector, underline aspect, for example. The QUALITY IMPROVEMENT would not be punitive... there would be a real effort to help and not penalize, threaten into good behavior. Nope, their interest is not help or improvement, which makes 'Quality Improvement' an oxymoron, but to create a file on the criminal MT for prosecution presently and contesting UNEMP BENEFITS later!

What sort of questions? Things your manager/TSM can't help with? ...or is it that your manager/TSM isn't available? Can you post for help in the Word Help forum here on Stars?

are no longer allowed any contact with the MLS. I was told to contact my TSM with any questions. That would be great, but she is never available or just doesn't know the answer and always says she'll find out, but then nothing except updates on her personal life, her kids, vacations, silly "experiences," etc. I hate what Nuance has done to our old Transcend.

Just general questions. What to do about this or that? Things that we think are correct, but then get marked down because we did not do it "their" way. There is so much judgment involved with all these rules and the people who make the rules don't seem to understand that. Conspiracy theory is that they want us to make mistakes so they don't have to give bonuses.

Doctor is doing an OP note. He says, "Do not number the diagnoses." He then proceeds to give about 5 different, but related diagnoses. Do I follow the doctor or number them according to NTS guidelines and account specifics? TSM is not available. Why can't there be a QC person available on Spark or email?

I do not know what platform or account you are working on, but have you ever gone to your TLs? Although QCs are paid hourly, they have LPH production benchmarks so they need to stay focused on the reports they are reviewing. I am a TL and am always available for the MLSs and QCs on my accounts to answer questions as are the other TLs who work with me. Good luck!

I am sorry you even have to ask that question. I would contact your TSM and ask him/her if the TLs who work on your account are available to answer questions or help with any issues that arise while you are on duty. I wish I could be more help. The MLSs/QCs on the platform/account I work on know who they can contact and when we are on duty and available to them.
We're afraid to ask too many questions. - That is why we post here.

Management seems very unresponsive, unwilling or unable to do anything starting from TSM, COM and on up. Nobody cares about the MLSs anymore.

That is really unfortunate, but I totally understand. I think it just comes down to what platform you are working on and what account, and who your TSM is. Mine is wonderful and always available by IM, email or phone. I love mentoring the MLSs and QCs and sharing my 30+ years of experience in the field. I wish there was a way I could help you all. I still recommend at least initially emailing your TSM and asking him/her if there are TLs available for questions during your scheduled shift. Maybe it is different depending on what platform/account you are on, I just don't know. I always thought it was the same across the board for the company, that there were TLs for all of the accounts and they were available for questions.

Many of us are on Spark and what we get is a message with a sentence typed in saying "can you tell me what the blank is." Uh no, I can't tell you what the blank is without listening. With nearly 200 MLS, imagine getting anything done with everybody messaging you to keep from sending to QA.

No one answers my emails when I ask why my accounts have no work. I was acquired 1 yr ago.  I had 4 years service with previous company, and was told we brought that with us, so I assume now I have 5 years service, right?  At the time, there was a schedule of PTO hours earned per years of service, I think it was about 3 weeks if you had 5 years.  I do not see that anymore.  Does that mean everyone only earns 4.62 hours of PTO per pay period no matter how long they have been employed?
