Does anyone know if former Webmedx MTs can join this suit, or are there former Webmedx MTs already involved? Also, are any of the current claimants currently employed by Nuance and/or were you given a difficult time?

My understanding is that to be eligible to join this lawsuit, you had to work for Transcend Services as an MT at some time in between the period of 2009 and currently. My understanding is that if you did not work for Transcend, then you do not qualify. However, I would still contact the attorney by email (you can get his email off that link or personal message me) and ask him just in case I am wrong in my interpretation. I did join the lawsuit, but left Transcend in favor of a better company.

Since Nuance acquired Transcend, and our paychecks/stubs reflect Transcend as our employer, do we qualify for participation in the suit?

Those of us who worked for Transcend before the Nuance buyout are actually still Transcend employees, which is why our paycheck says this. We are employees of Transcend "doing business as" Nuance. Since Transcend is a "wholly owned subsidiary" of Nuance, the point is kind of moot. In any case, it doesn't matter as far as the lawsuit. As someone else pointed out, the deadline for opting to be included in the suit passed a long, long time ago.

I've personally spoken with Kevin Dolley, and as soon as the Transcend lawsuit wraps up they are considering a lawsuit against Nuance. He asked me to save all documentation from my employment with Nuance until after they finish their current lawsuit since there are a couple of years before the statute of limitations would kick in. So, if you work for Transcend DBA Nuanc and you were not a Transcend employee, save your documentation and hang on our time is coming.

The good news is, if this case sets a precedent - for the MTs, other cases will follow. ;)

I recently got out of MT, but I hung onto all my documentation and work logs, with the hope that I'll be able to sue my former company in the future for all the overtime I worked and was never paid for.

where Nuance is sued for the amount of time MTs spend off the clock reading those numerous audits, researching "errors" only to find incorrect scores, documenting the incorrect count-offs, etc. Now THAT would be a suit that should send a strong message to stop the 100+ audits in a month on people unless you're going to pay them for their time to deal with it.

IMHO, not to mention many other things that being only paid for production that we do that we don't get credit for...pend notes, on average I do at least 20 a day due to the account being a mandatory pend for many things. Emails that we have to do to notify managers of if there are problems with reports, IMs concerning stats or other issues with a report, etc. They all add up over a 2-week pay period....Fiesa, Enrich, emails, pend notes, etc. They say that that is averaged in our pay. If that were true, we are being paid very little then for producing a report.

Hi everyone I just wanted to stop by really quick and let you all know that finally, FINALLY I am off QA. I was given two accounts today in addition to the one they had initially given me. I can now type w/o counting my reports and waiting for feedback first. It remains to be seen of course, whether or not there will be as much work as I was told but so far, this company has been true to their word. Still, four days on a very restrictive QA protocol was quite scary. I am a LOT grayer now ...
