new Docuscribe version 6.1 - NJA Queen

Does anyone know if the training on MQ Central is paid and what happens if we dont take it? :)  Seriously, an hour to learn how to use the new Docuscribe?  Is this going to work as well as the new and improved email?  Maybe I should pass on the class.

I will email my CCM and see if we get paid. So far if they work, the changes are pretty neat. Too bad, though, they don't spend the money on their employees who do this instead of new software, etc.

I give enough free time to this company with the ADT screen and looking up CCs and addresses. They want us on conference calls unpaid and now to do this training too. Why even bother with a payroll department?

How can they NOT pay for for a conference call or work-related training. I've worked for Spheris for 6 years and I have never had to do anything unpaid, i.e., conference calls, training, learning a new account/platform, HIPAA training. How do they get away with that??

They used to pay for all that stuff, but I noticed recently they are requiring we do little updates or calls, etc., without compensation. Only within the past year, though.

I didn't get it, had no choice as the new computer sent to me had the new 6.1 version already installed. It is quite a bit different than the old version but I had to learn the long and hard way what new features are installed. I was their guinea pig trying to figure out all the features by myself and lost lots of lines because of it and was not in their "pilot program" so was given no reimbursement for my feedback. Idiots.

I doubt it would take an hour for an MT to learn, but honestly there are quite a few different things to look out for, most of which don't make our life any easier. Some do, though, like the automatic spellcheck which underlines a word in red if it isn't recognized. You might find it a pain and takes some getting used to, but it's okay. Then two doubled words are underlined in green if they are doubled together, which stands out and you can correct it before the auto-spellcheck happens just before you send the report. However, each and every doctor look-up takes much longer, is much more cumbersome, and I hate using it. It's actually quicker to do a long Google search than use the client's doctor list. There's also a horrible double-bong-bong error message sound at the end of the report if you press some keys or the foot pedal the wrong way, haven't yet figured that out yet. It still gets my heart racing like I've committed some crime or something. We should get paid for that time to learn it, or else you'll pay more for it in the long run.

Checked with my super and she said we get paid for 1.5 hours for the tutorials. I agree the doc look up is exaperating. 6.1 automatically downloaded this morning when I signed in, it wasn't supposed to, so I had a lot of problems, too. Called super for help, she was too busy, told me to call support. Yeah right, like I want to deal with them.

They have no idea how to really help us get through the new details. When I called with a big list of the problems I had with it, the guy just kind of nodded, and said, "yep." He had no suggestions to help me out, but said he was aware of the changes. He told me to save that list in case they might need it, but since I'm not in the pilot program and being reimbursed for my time, I figured I sacrificed enough of my pay than choose to help them out with my feedback. post here rather than go through the agony of MQCentral. And of course they would pay you a bonus for doing something that actually helps us. And I'm sure when they realize you were not reimbursed for your guinea pig experience they will contact you immediately and apologize and pay you a bonus for that.

Then of course they will ask how your loved ones are doing and if everything else is working well for you.

Then you will win the lottery and then you will wake up.

MQ has no heart whatsoever. Really, really sad.

on ScheduleSource. It did not take me 1-1/2 hours to complete it. Everything in that training is in the User Guide emailed out from CCM, which is easier for me to understand and retain anyway than listening to someone talking about it, so I did not sweat trying to absorb the training and just got through it as fast as possible to get the codes for CCM and have not had any problems. You have the User Guide to refer to when you actually start using the upgraded DQS.

somehow I'm already working on it before doing the training. I don't have the box to check at the end of my shift that keeps another job from loading up after the one I'm typing. Is it supposed to be that way?

I don't know why they just didn't do it this way in the first place instead of threatening us if we didn't check that little box on the left before logging out for the day. MQ is just plain backwards.

I am not having any problem with it and the auto numbering feature is great. I have not had to deal with the headings thing as it does not come up so expect my accounts do not use it. The doctor lookup is a little different, but if you click on and drag the doctor names field over to expand it, I really do not see much difference in use. I like the fact they have put in a feature to just choose last name so I no longer have to use ctrl N to do it. On ASR, if you try to delete more than 5 words or a spelling it will place a skip marker automatically, which sucks, but the time saved with the auto numbering makes up for that in my opinon. I do like the new spell check feature and not at all hard to use or any more time-consuming. Overall, I can type pretty much the same as I always have and it has not caused me to lose any time.

What do you mean by feature to just choose - last name and not use Contron N?

last name when looking up a doctor name in doctor lookup when only last name of doctor is given by dictator in report. You used to have to do ctrl N to insert last name only from doctor lookup list when last name is all that is dictated. There is also a box to click if you want to insert name plus address.

Is anyone still using the original Docuscribe?  I have not downloaded the 6.1 or done the training yet as I was ill during the time we were told to download.  Tech support told me there were lots of problems with it and not to download it just yet.  My supervisor hasn't said anything about it.  Are there still problems with it and is the training helpful I hear you get paid 1.5 hours of PTO for doing it, is that enough time?  I am surprised we didn't get a conf ...

Probably 30+ minutes ago, I got a red light saying my connection was lost.  However, I still had internet, going to multiple web sites, so I called the 1-800 number.  I was told it was on my end, to shut everything down and re-start.  I've done so multiple times with the same results - no problem with anything on the internet, but cannot log on Docuscribe. does anyone have docuscribe installed on a 64-bit computer?  I have windows Vista 64-bit and support told me it will not work, that it is too fast for docuscribe to handle.  She said with some people they could not even download it on a 64-bit.  Just wanting to know if anyone has had success with this.  I want to download it on my laptop for the holidays so I can spend time with family easier.  Thanks! ...

I finally found a tech to help me on this one after adjusting the brightness if there is anyone out there that HATES that blinding bright white screen.  I adjusted the contrast to 5.8 and brightness to about 5.8.  It tones it alll down quite a bit.  You first click the minus button, then the first button on the monitor to increase or decrease.  It kind of mellows down that bright white screen to a very light grey. ...

I guess I am getting too old and not adapting as quick as I used to, but I find having accounts in both new and old a little confusing.  My mind and fingers don't want to switch about so easily.  This is just 2 weeks, hoping it gets more natural soon.  I think I only got my normal line count 2 days out of the training period.   I did quit doing that print preview so often.  Wow.  that is truly a time killer isn't it?  ...
