In addition to commenting on CEO article - here is another thing

Posted: Aug 02, 2011

If you comment on the article, the only people to see it will be those specifically looking for that article in yesterday's Tennessean.  What I would hope to happen is that everyone who wrote a reply to the article would copy your response and send it to the Tennessean's Letters to the Editor Section.  That way, your response will be seen by many more people.  Or...copy the link and send it to your local paper/TV station! Wouldn't hurt for people around the country to see this article!

MQ is so dumb that when you go to MQ Central and read the article, you can read the comments there, too. In essence, we get to bash this company on their own board. What a great outlet to communicate with other MTs in this company.

ROFL!!!! - I love it!

Wonder how long before the article is jerked off of MQC?? He opened a can of worms with this interview!!

LOL, I agree. - mom2huskies

I can suggest you go to Google and put in Tennessean and Medquist.

Does not surprise me. - mom2huskies

They will probably put a ban on you just like they did me. Watch, I will probably be banned just by making this comment, LOL.

they cannot remove it from FACEBOOK! - Opened up a can of worms.

I hope this opens up a big, huge, can of whoop-a**.

Sent to every TV station in the state and to the - newspaper.

Hmmm. What about CNN, MSNBC, who else? senators, congressmen both state and national? Lets ALL get involved.

that's wishful thinking - sm

unfortunately, I do not believe that enough people working in this industry are really pro-active and chose to post anomymously on this and similar forums rather than putting themselves out there. I have been very active, have written to news agencies, explained to the best of my abilities our situation, written to the company president here inthe US and Cbay, never to hear anything back from anyone... I hope that if anyone choses to pick up the placard that they have better luck. I felt very alone in my campaign.

I put all contact information on my e-mails to the tv stations - and I personally called the paper.

[ In Reply To ..]
and spoke to the guy that I was to send the e-mailed information to. I also sent him links about the stocks and the profits and the company transactions purchasing others, etc., from over the last few weeks. This is available through an internet search.

I think right now it is extremely relevant information because of the financial incentives to hospitals and physician offices for going to EMR being paid by the government. With our economy the way it is and the US budget problems of the last few days I think this should be reported and investigated further. I think all of this ties in together. Can the government really afford to pay doctors and hospitals to start using an electronic medical record? Should they really be able to force them to do it? There is more than just our jobs at stake, what about potential HIPPA violations and our information falling into the wrong hands. Just think of the access to billing records, SS numbers, etc. How many of your demographic screens pull up social security numbers. It would be very easy for someone in another country to use the SS # off of a medical record and commit identity theft.

Don't believe - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Don't believe you are the only one. Many of us do send stuff to different places with our contact information. Apparently, they don't care that our jobs are being lost and don't care to report it. But I do hope that the ones that are trying would keep trying, as I do, and more will join in. Many voices need to be heard. I can't believe there are only 16 comments on that article in the Tennessean. Everybody comes on here and complains, more than 16, yet nobody will take the time to comment on that story. If newspapers and TV stations only see 16 comments, that does not seem like enough to get attention. More need to comment and more need to send the link on to places.

P/t MT Work In Addition To F/t Job?

Are there any MTSOs who will allow you the flexibility to work p/t around a f/t job schedule?  I'm okay with working 25 hours minimum as long as I can set my own schedule for evenings & weekends.  Just wondering if that's even a possibility before I start making inquiries.     ...
