Patient first Transcription getting impatient - kc

Posted: Jun 17, 2014

I was contacted by Patient First last week after I applied about a month ago by email stating she would love to talk to me.  I still haven't spoken to anyone. She hasn't called me yet.  Is this common for Patient First?  Has anyone else had this happen?  I read they are slow to get back.  I'm just getting impatient.

We are so busy with work and on mandatory OT that even the boss is typing reports when she can. If I was you I would contact Patient First at the reception desk and tell them you were contacted and she can get you to the right person. Just look up the number on their website for Glen Allen Virginia. I don't think I can post it here or I would.

They are very slow in getting back with you but if you are interested in decent pay, and never and I mean never run out of work then it is worth the wait. Like I said we are on mandatory OT and this is the second time this year. Makes for some really nice paychecks. I have been there almost 3 years and never ran out of work.

If that is what you are looking for then reach out to them and I am sure they will get you to the boss.

Thanks - kc

Thanks for the info. I might try calling. I'm just hoping I will eventually get to speak with someone. I actually forgot about them, but now I have gotten my hopes up. I really would like to work for them.

...did you reply to the e-mail? - ...sometimes that is best.

[ In Reply To ..]
If someone sent you an e-mail stating they would love to talk with you, did you reply with your availability and/or interest - or are you waiting for the phone to ring? I would reply to the e-mail first, if you are interested. Sometimes it is easier to keep the dialog going by a reply in the same fashion.

I did respond to her by email stating I was interested. She then emailed asking for a number if I was available to talk. I responded with a number and I haven't heard back since.

They are definitely slow to get things rolling at first. In the end it is totally worth it, so hang in there!

TESTING! - Curious MT

I would like to test for them. I went to their web site, but did not see where I could take the test. Is it posted online or do they have to send it to you? Any info would be appreciated as to how I might go about testing for them. Thank you!

Test was part of the application... - ... hopeful MT.

I could not access the test until I got into the application process. Once I started going through all of that, I could do the test. Both parts (app and test) had to be done before it showed my paperwork complete. Just my experience.

Thanks so much for that information. I thought that might be the case since I couldn't find the test online on their web site.

I applied 2 months ago and just got a response. I'm impatient too and really wish things would move faster. Let me know how it goes for you.

Patient First Transcription

Warning for MTs interested in Patient First Transcription.   Beware...  This is a very difficult company to work for.  First, the platform is extremely difficult as it is working in DOS.  Second, the management team is extremely critical and not employee friendly.  They do not give constructive feedback, again, very critical, even during training period.  Hours are in dispute constantly.   In short, really think about working on a DOS-based system (lines decrea ...
