I am confused about the fact that someone stated that the pay period would end Friday for Nuance. At least that is what I thought I understood them to say. I just had a pay period end last Friday, so why is there another pay period ending this Friday (normally every 2 weeks)?

Another thing I was wondering about since we were not given any written paperwork on the new pay rate and incentive details is didn't the new pay rate go in effect Dec 17th? I thought that is what it said on the webinar but not sure and would be so nice if they had emailed all this. Also didn't the new incentive plan go into effect the 17th of dec also?

I watched the webinar also but only seen stuff about insurance...nothing with new incentive details or pay rate?? Hmmm... And it was effective starting this past Monday. And they were possibly just meaning that the first pay week was over for the pay period. More info on the pay rate please?

If you are a tier 3 acute care MT/editor, then the new pay rate would be .0825 instead of just .08 previously and .04125 for editing instead of .04 previously. Now for Webmedx employees that is prob a decrease in pay because I think you all made more than .0825 per line to begin with, but for us, that is just a tiny bit more than before.

Went from new hire rate of .07/.0375 to .0825/.0463. Yay.

For ppl who were there before, new rate (and incentive plan) went into action 12/24 - so first paycheck for it will be the 1/13 one.

You sound like me for the 2+ weeks I worked at Nuance. My head was spinning. Sorry I can't answer your questions but for the short time I did work there, it seems like nobody else could answer these types of questions either. IMO, there are way too many chiefs running around in circles and this company is getting too big for their britches, although some MTs post on here that they're happy there. I am so glad I got out of there and I certainly never looked back. Good luck!

I've been with them 5 months here in Feb...Well with Encompass which was great until we merged with Nuance. Took a pay decrease even and I've been trying to find a new place to apply to! So hard with all the negative feedback for nearly every company! Glad you got away :)

I think it is different if you are a regular Nuance employee or if you are a Webmedx employee being acquired by Nuance. Webmedx pay periods usually end on Sundays, so the Friday end is a change for us. This Friday marks the end of the pay period for us. We are not being paid incentive for this pay period (Monday through Friday). The new compensation plan (at least for Webmedx employees) starts 12/31/2011 at 12 a.m.

They refuse to send out the compensation details in writing/another format other than webinar because it is "proprietary information." You can still access the webinar. I took screenshots of the compensation plan details (Ctrl + Print Screen, paste to Paint) and printed them out so I would have something in writing to reference.

I read on this forum that Keystrokes pays well.....I was offered a position with them doing Radiology and they only wanted to pay me $1.00 per report. That is crappy!!!! OK I get NJA, change Schedule Source to work availability, then I get a job 10 minutes into it, now what? I know I don't get paid for 10 minutes of NJA/work availability. Clock out and back in under production? Will I get in trouble for the 10 minutes of work availability? Then if I get NJA again, clock back out of production and back into work availability and SEE if it goes the full 15 minutes??????????? I need a tutorial on this I guess. Any suggestion ...

You have to punch out of production to change to "work availability" and I was under the impression you can't type while in "work availability" so you have to clock out and back in under "production" if you get a job during that 15 minute wait period. I just took an online test and I found it rather easy and they said I didn't pass and then suggested more training. WTH??!! I have over 20 years experience and maintain a 99% QA. Would you take an insurance transcription job at WorldWide Transcription that pays .06 per line, has lots of work, and offers a M-F schedule. The only con I can find is that they mail paper checks, instead of direct deposit. Or would you take a transcription job with Integrity HD. I am just venting!!! Somewhere along the line I guess I misunderstood the whole concept behind VR. I have a real hard time understanding why a bunch of words, many that don't make any sense or even sound like what is dictated, in no type of formatting constitutes a report; VR dictation that needs to be restructured and pretty much retyped but yet I get paid less and required to do it faster than a real "typed" report. Does BayScribe only count the total time you're actually 'in' reports as the time that's weighed against your server time? In other words, when you're logged into Bayscribe's main menu and not actually transcribing a report, those minutes aren't being added in, are they? I hope I'm not confusing you guys! OK....just to be sure I understand this.....if I am an IC, do I deduct approximately 15% (like what my previous employer deducted for SS and Medicare) OR do I deduct 30% for my part and employer part? I was reading the ad posted by Synernet and thought it sounded quite decent, what with benefits and incentive plan, etc., then I noticed their ad has 4 "dislikes."
