Is Archivus running out of work? - PBJ

Does anyone work for Archivus? For the last couple of weeks it's becoming quite a pattern for them telling us not to log on and work until they give the okay with no explanation except that it's per the facility, usually ending up missing one or more days of work. Not sure if they are running out of work or not. Anyone know?

Getting e-mails like that is usually a sign, a bad sign. I would start looking for a new job and sending out resumes as it takes time. If the interim the other work picks up, well then great; however, if it does not, then at least you are protecting yourself from being in a bind with no job.

I feel your pain. I almost accepted a job there. The problem for me was that it was an IC position and they required a minimum of 1200 lines per day.

I thought this was odd and unfair for an IC position. But, when the tables are turned, it's all in their favor because ICs cannot claim even partial unemployment. What a ripoff.

Be careful when you apply with them, they have a - form email letter that comes back

and I noticed each time that my virus protection detected Malware on it. It bombed one computer I had. I have another now and every time that form email comes back in my email and I try to open it up, it gives me a Malware warning. I wonder if anyone else has lost a computer because of this. It is in the svchost.com part of Windows 32.

They merge with another company (more like were bought out), but the original owner is no longer there and started a new business and took the original supervisor with him. Beckie, the new supervisor, is not on top of her employees at all. She pretty much ignores them. It can take her days to answer an e-mail. Or you just don't get an e-mail regarding anything of importance from her. This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. If you're looking for a company who cares about you, this company would not be included in the list of concerned employers.

I have worked on the Novant account for 3 years and it has always been like this. We do the overflow for these hospitals and the in-house hospital staff takes precedence over the transcription company when the work is low. When I first started on this account, I was not aware we were just doing overflow. I thought we had the whole hospital, but not so. Anyway, I get tired of it, but it doesn't seem that it will ever change. They have too many people on the account. They seem to have overstaffed it.

Does this company hire and then after a quarterly review have QA pick your work apart and then tell you they can either terminate your contract or cut your pay. Understand this has happened to more than one person. Has anyone experienced this. They told me I was doing awesome work, not they picked the work after and then tell me that in 2 weeks my contract will either be terminated or will have a reduced line rate. This makes no sense.
