I have worked for this company since May of 2012. After working for WebMedX who was bought out by Nuance, I saw very spotty work flow and there were many weekends where I was scheduled to work and had absolutely no work. I have to also agree that work rarely runs out and there are times when there is extra work. Pay is disappointing but that is the way of transcription services everywhere now. We are working more and making less. This is not a career I would choose again, but I can see how someone who is part of a two income family would think this would be adequate. For a single woman trying to make a living, transcription is a terribly way to go.

The pay stinks, I work more and make less, I wouldn't choose this career again, transcription is a terrible way to go if you want to make a living. Why are you staying? It is possible to move on. I did, and so have others.

Don't get the account on Dictaphone side that starts with "F." QA from TTS, Nuance and the hospital; 35+ pages of specs that change every day. If this is the acct your being considered for, I can tell you more.

I started at TTS about two years ago and I have to say that I cannot remember being out of work. I do have a set schedule but I also need a paycheck to pay the bills. Prior to TTS I was logging into a system all day and into the night to get whatever was there and that got real old real fast. I can tell you this, escription is a great program and I make a good paycheck. I do my 8 and I'm done. HTH.

while I've had my ups and downs with them they are as good as any - the trainers are great and the supervisors are right there for you. pay isn't great but escription is a good platform

I've been with them a year. Some ups and downs, but once you get used to the people and the way they do things, it smooths out. They are small enough that they get to know you personally. You are not lost among 1000s of MTs. I'd rather be a big fish in a little pond than a little fish in a big pond. I love escription and get a good line count, and I'm fortunate that this is only a supplemental income for me as I could not live on what I make here; but then everyone's needs are different. Yes, their pay is lower than some.

Yes I have a schedule but I don't get why people complain about a schedule if you worked in an office you would have one, so anyway I put my hours in, keep my QA scores up and I am basically left alone to do my job. No company is perfect they all have their downsides but IMO this is one of the better ones at least for me it has been. I do work on the escription side and I hear the other side is not as "inviting" but I can't say either way from personal experience on that.

I got feedback on a report today, CRITICAL FEEDBACK. The doctor dictating was absolutely horrible, worse than horrible. I could not understand him, tried my hardest and before I uploaded it sent a note to QA asking for a sample of his work, explained that I could NOT UNDERSTAND HIM. I'm so happy! I got my audit, passed with flying colors and got an email from sup saying good work and keep it up! He also suggested that I submit for a raise since I've been consistent. I said I didn't know that we could, but apparently we can if we maintain that 98% average consistently for a certain amount of time. I started with MModal a month or so ago and I am noticing that MME feedback is not consistent. One will cross out dictation in the document that another will leave (like service or surgeon or primary doc). Also, "myself/himself/herself" should not be changed? Would appreciate feedback from anyone using M-Modal, especially Webmedx Enterprise MTs. Dreading the conversion and wondering if my fears are well founded. I'm pretty fast straight typing but rarely get more than 50 lines more an hour with current VR. Seems all it takes is just one lousy report to negate the lines made on the decent reports. Have a hospital where you are to phonetically spell name if not given (it wasn't except to call him "Steven") QA so kindly sent me QA feedback and the only thing on there was that apparently Steven was actually spelled "Stephun." Is that ACTUALLY going to be of any help in the future? QA wonders why we have an attitude? DON'T WASTE ANY MORE OF MY TIME THAN IS ALREADY BEING WASTED. ...

I just started working 3 days ago and have been doing very well with QA (100%) until yesterday. It seems now I am getting more scores in the high 90s, but I really feel that some of them are error of the QA. I got dinged for this: Blood sugars were in the 150-250 range. Most of them, though, were around 200. QA took out the commas around "though." Would you do that??? I figure "though" is nonessential and is extra info, hence the comma.
