When I tell people what I do, they don't get it. They will ask, "what do you mean the doctors dictate?" They have no idea. I guess they see their doctors now with lap tops and cell phones and figure that is where everything goes and you are right, they don't care. All most people are concerned about is the cost of going to a doctor or what a prescription might cost, especially if you are on regular medications. Medicine is an industry now, no more personal care in general. The new doctors cut their teeth on computers and could care less where their dictation is done. Same in offices and clinics. If they did care, we would all be working in one of those places.
Sad state of affairs to say the least.
