I hated coding so much I couldn't even finish ICD-10 training - and I used to be a coder! Posted: May 26th, 2017 - 9:19 am In Reply to: Rose - Not for me
I worked in house for about 5 years coding with ICD-9, had on the job training so never required to certify. Had babies, stayed home, found money in MT coders hadn't really started working remotely at the time). A few years ago I realized MT was on its way to extinction and coding had a more promising future, so I started the ICD-10 courses. OMG! I have never been so bored in my life. No, no, no. I'll take typing/editing mind-numbing notes over coding any day! Once MT is gone, I'll find a job scrubbing toilets or something.
