I have worked as an IC for many years and my "line counting software" has been built into the company platforms so I have never had to worry about a line counting program. Also, as far as a word expander is concerned, I have heard that Instant Text and Shorthand are good programs. There is also FastFox by NCH which I believe is free. I have a word expander that I have used for years, however, the company is now out of business, so no longer available.
