Check out the website for AAPC (American Association for Professional Coders). They do annual salary surveys and post the results and you will be able to get a range. Nuance is no different from other employers, they all like to see at least 2 years of experience, especially if you work independently at home, you also need to pass a credentialing exam to get a job at all. You will probably want to work onsite somewhere for your first job.
