I got fired from Nuance a few weeks ago. You would think that getting fired from a job you worked for 10 years would be devastating... but it took so much weight off my shoulders. I was beyond elated to get that phone call. Lucky for me, I was able to find a full-time position in a local hospital (not transcription!!!) and I feel like I am floating on cloud 9. Ladies... there is more out there! You have to look around. Look at the careers section at your local hospital, doctor office, specialists' offices. Your experience in transcription opens doors to all kinds of medical jobs. I now have 14 days of PTO plus sick time, and PAID HOLIDAYS. I am not saying this to boast; I just wanted to come back and let you know that there is life after transcription. You don't have to be miserable. Stop allowing the big N suck the life out of you.
