IC job - "Mandatory production" for an IC? - Opinion please

sent to an IC I know was an email for a company said that there is a mandatory production and that the industry standard is 170 lph for straight typing and 340 for VR editing? My first reaction when I heard this is what? Requiring production for an IC? What is your opinion on this? Also industry standard is 340 for VR? The position I have it is 250 and another company is 260? I just wonder what your thoughts are on this situation and the industry standards. Thanks!
