I would've said no, also, but you bring up a very good point. It's very competitive out there right now and anything that can give you an edge can't hurt. Now if you were to ask me if one should begin a program for a CMT credential, I would say why bother, but if you're talking about renewing something you've already earned, I'd say that's smart.
