I got wind of a job that is close to home doing something in the medical/legal field, M-F days with full benefits. It only pays a couple dollars an hour more than I make at M*Modal but I am beside myself with hope that I get it. I have a bit of nepotism on my side, which I used to hate when people did this, but hey use whatever you can I guess.
I used to love being an MT (when I actually was one rather than a speech wreck fixer) but now I despise every second I have to spend sitting at my computer.
I hope we can all escape at some point and leave this horrific industry.
