I would love to find an affordable, but HIPAA compliant, way to send audio files to transcribe into the clients EMR. I know many doctors are criticizing the EMR developers for not including a transcription program. It would be hard to know what to charge for this. I'm thinking what we made 20 years ago plus a reasonable raise, plus additional costs, minus expenses we no longer have such as pick-up, delivery and printing.
There is one account I may be able to pick up to try this out. If I start it, I'll share the details here as I think this is one thing that could save our jobs and not have to be a slave to another MSSO (Medical Scribe Service Owner).
