In the Nuance Transcription Guidelines to state kidney or renal disease is arabic rather than roman, only the cancer staging being roman and the diabetes being arabic.
I think it is an important distinction and should be down in writing if we are supposed to correct this.
I used to change it all the time but the stupid speech engine never spits it out properly and sometimes it is in the report a lot, so I just leave it now.
To their credit, the QA/QC brigade have never picked on this one, but I do wish they would do an email stressing this is the way it should be, and while they're at it tell the speech engine about it too.
