med allergy s/l ankulariomycin - starstruck

Although he could be saying "to" something as well. I've thought of azithromycin and erythromycin, but it does like there is an "L" sound in there. Anybody have an idea?

Or at least that's how I was taught. I hope the industry standard hasn't changed. I had been so completely gutless about guessing anything that my QA editor told me to be more "intrepid" or I'd never get a raise with such a high QA score, so now if there's a nonmedical word in a dictation and I'm pretty sure about what it is from the context of the sentence/paragraph then I will "guess." I'm curious to know what other MTs do.

Hi, I'm transcribing a doctor's note that's describing the patient's allergies and how the patient has tried various OTC drugs, including 'pseudometafecin' but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to spell that correctly; I've tried all of the different variations that I can think of (sudometofecin, pseudometaphecin, etc.) and tried looking up 'allergy medications' and coming up with squat. I am on a verbatum account. Doc say past medical history is unremarkle. Then gave meds. Then listed as the first allergy hayfever. In your opinions, would you list hayfever as an allergy as it's verbatum, or would you put hay fever in past medical history. I've never known hay fever to be an allergy. Thanks, M ...
