going into my printer properties where it shows 'grayscale' as a choice for printing without color. Weird though in my reply, grayscale is showing up as being misspelled and when I right click on it, the suggestion is 'gray-scale.' I'm still going to go with grayscale, though. Maybe it's grayscale when it's a noun (I am going to print in grayscale) and gray-scale when it's an adjective (I am going to utilized gray-scale printing).

The Stedman's Radiology words has it as gray-scale imaging.
Hello! :) I am trying to transcribe a radiology report and the Dr. said something that sounds like "flare imaging." Is there such a thing as flare imaging? This is the sentence: ..."increased signal on (flare) imaging, larger on the left than on the right."
Appreciate any insight!

Typing difficult dictator...speed talker....
Sentance reads: MRI shows the tibial eminence fracture but the ACL appears to be intact. There is no apparent increased signal for intracepts inter rupture.
"intracepts" is not making sense and I am not for certain that inter rupture is adquate...maybe I am just tired and my brain/ears are not functioning well...any help would be appreciated. ...
Does anyone know about a company called Radiology Imaging Consultants?. We have been told they are going to be our new Radiology Group starting Jan 1st. We don't know if they use editors, if there is any actual transcription, etc. Please help shed some light. We were not told anything. This is suppose to be hush hush... ...
I can sign on with them, but they're strictly BOS 3. I'm still in the dark ages with BOS 1. How much time am I going to spend with my head in the book? What things should I focus on (re)learning first?
Also, what kind of paperwork do I need to take care of, line counts, billing? Do they take care of that? All I do with my current company is submit my online line count at the end of the pay period, and two weeks later I get a deposit in the bank.
This is the only IC position I ...
Does anyway know about this company or ever worked there? It sounds good with high pay on lines, but that is not everything to consider. Let me know anything that you know. ...
Has anyone ever worked for Rapid Outsource Imaging? If so - were you happy there? Did they have plenty of work? Did they pay a fair rate? How was their QA and their platform? I've already invested time in their lengthy application/test and have phone interview tomorrow. Any info or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!! ...
I am going to paste the paragraph two words are located in that I'm having trouble with. I am hoping that someone who is familiar with radiology terminology can help me out on this. It sounds to me like the physician is saying: subcurrent and precurrent.
I've gone to every source I can think of, but no luck in confirming that this makes any sense.
Here's the paragraph:
IMAGING EVALUATION: PET CT scan done [___] reveals hypermetabolic adenopathy in ...
I was considering applying at ROI (Rapid Outsource Imaging), but I heard they charge their IC MTs $50 per report error. Are there any ROI MTs out there who could comment on this? ...
Hello,
and thank you for being here :)
Facility did an upgrade a few days ago. Cerner Rad Imaging program is now giving me issues when insert IT macros - This message comes up when I attempt to insert any phrase or data that is lengthy - requiring i type all first initials of the sentence/phrase whereas before, if it was the only selection, my canned phrase would appear.

My region has only been using DQS7 for about a week, and so far we're only tetting straight transcription. I finally got an ASR from a different account, and, lordy! In DQS6 I always used the little yellow cursor tracker, but this is a huge ugly gray blotch that obscures the word(s) under it. I was so distracted that it took forever to finish the report. I'm afraid this is one "new improved" feature I'm going to have to turn off. ...
I don't know what key I accidentally hit, but all my transcription has turned gray and unable to be edited while the headers that were gray have changed to black. Anyone know how to reverse this as I'm stuck in a report. I know this belongs in Tech Support, but felt it would not be seen there. ...
Can anyone give me a GENERAL idea of what OSI might start you out at per line? I have a lot of experience but I know that doesn't matter much anymore. I am not going through testing to find out the pay is 7-8 cents per line.
Thanks for any help/suggestions. ...
So they took back that ridiculous and insulting "raise" of 0.001 cents per line I got a year or so ago and the 0.007 for speech wreck? Figures. I must have been making way too much now. I shouldn't have even opened the E-mail. ...
Lets see if i make 3/6 a line that comes to
250 x 0.03 = 7.50 an hour -- wow minimum wage.
150 x 0.06 = 9.00 an hour -- McDonald's wages.
At 4/7
250 x 0.04 = 10.00 an hour - Do you see the different 1 cents makes?
150 x 0.07 = 10.50 an hour
even if you did slightly better and could do 300 lines an hour editing you would only get 9.00 an hour. So to make any money there, you would have to literally kill yourself. TTS IS NO GOOD. period end of sto ...
I posted this question below but fear it will be buried.
To those of you just hired at Focus, how's the pay scale?
I currently make 8.5 straight/4.5 editing.
Is it comparable to, higher than or lower than that?
I'd never ask anyone to divulge their pay scale but I'm trying to get a feel for if it's better than where I'm at.
TIA to anyone willing to give me a ballpark hint here! ...
Experienced MT looking for new position. Reading posts seems like Webmedx might be a good choice. Can anyone give me an idea of earning potential for someone like me with 25+ years experience. Have been working independently for almost 20 years for a private physician who is now retiring and sold the practice to a young computer oriented doctor. Obviously I can see I'll be on my own soon. Any advice is welcomed! ...
