s/l "dio-load"~has to do with the ordering or not ordering of a secondary CT because they want to spare the patient "dio-load."  Any ideas?

Could it be dye overload?

I went back and listened again, and I don't - Colleen

think so. I hear 3 syllables. (sorry for spelling if I got that wrong-just want to get done and get rid of my headache),

"dye load" even if you hear 3 syllables...nm - flybye

nm
dye load is correct - - (phonics is phunny)

:)
absolutely dye load - w/o listening to voice

A patient can only have a certain amount of dye given to them before consideration has to be given to the liver and kidneys, so yes, dye load would be correct.

I gave up. Thanks for trying. Good night, all! - Colleen

no matter what you think you hear dye load is riht - jd

When a patient has kidney problems or for other reasons and they don't want them to get too much of the contrast dye they may hesitate to do another CT. Don't know why you wouldn't believe these folks, but okay.

Dye overload - Vikefantam

[ In Reply To ..]
That's my thought. Is the patient having kidney problems? Elevated creatinine? They don't generally use dye for scans in patients with kidney problems or elevated creatinines. It could very well be dye overload.

dio-load - prasad

I think it is "dye load." Contrast dye will be loaded during CT scans.

Perhaps "diode" - conducts electric currrent? nm - Sunshine State MT
