Initial cap "mom" in a whole string of relatives? - SM

He says patient lives with a whole string of relatives; mom, father, paternal grandmother, p grf, sister, and so on.
Are we supposed to then cap every single person in that sentence? It seems overkill.
He says the standard "mom said this..." "mom reports that..." and I know to cap that.

By the way, I wouldn't use a semicolon there. You aren't separating two different lists that are each separated by commas, and you aren't connecting 2 complete sentences that are closely related but missing a conjunction, so I would either put a comma or a colon to indicate that the string of relatives is to follow (in which case you would capitalize "Mom" only if it follows a colon).
Don't know why 2 people "disliked" your question without even attempting to help. Geez!

But with respect to the semicolon I also agree with anonymousie, I got dinged really bad for that on training, so rarely use a semicolon, it cannot be used when there will be another comma before the sentence ends.
