A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
For some reason I have recently become very, very uncomfortable at my desk. My right leg is always hurting, falling asleep, or getting a charlie horse as I type. I have a cordless mouse so I can switch hands, but it doesn't seem to matter, as both shoulders hurt from using it. Also, my butt goes numb - LOL. I really enjoy being a transcriptionist, but I cannot handle the discomfort much longer. I have a very good chair and a fairly new desk. Again, this just started within the past 2 weeks or so, and I have been transcribing for over 20 years. I never had much of a problem before this. I do get up and walk around, but it seems within 5 minutes after sitting back down, the aches and pains start up again. I am always fidgeting in my chair and cannot get comfortable. Of course, my production is suffering because of this. Any suggestions?
