Lanier LX 219 Help - Rainbowmanfan
Posted: Dec 20, 2011
My company has recently taken on an account which requires me to use a Lanier LX219 transciption station. I received it and hooked it up. I am able to dial in and access the voice files; however, the foot pedal is not working correctly. When I step on the foot pedal, the audio begins to plan correctly; however, when I remove my foot from the pedal, the audio continues straight to the end of file and I cannot stop it. It then simply begins to start again from the beginning of the file and play all the way through continuously. I am sure there is a way to program the unit to fix this problem but no one seems to know how. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what might be causing this problem and how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have a huge backlog on this account and I need to get started ASAP.

Contact your Tech support people, that is what they are there for. It is probably a quick fix. Contact your super if you don't know how to get hold of technician.

When I used a Lanier, I tried it with Magic Jack and VOP telephone, and this is what my Lanier did. I could not use it with those phone line providers. I had no trouble with regular land line phone, however. Other than that, I cannot think what would be causing this. Good luck.

I can't recall off the top of my head who manufactures Lanier. It may be dictaphone. However, worst comes to worse contact the parent company. Equipment companies have support departments for their products, just like Sony, etc., for instructions on use and troubleshooting.

I receive my work through a Lanier station. I have been through the ringer with my telephone service provider a few years ago and was eventually told that if I ever dial the number again I would be black listed and never be able to have any service from that company again (Windstream in 2007). I was eventually able to get in touch with the higher ups a ...
