Is Instant Text worth the price - bikerblue

I am thinking of investing into an expander program but wondering if Instant Text is worth the price. If it is I have no problem spending the money but how comparable are others out there? I can't find enough info online to satisfy me for which way to turn. Thanks!

of years and switched to IT when Pro V came out. I've never looked back and am a heck of a lot more productive because of the advanced features in IT. Give it a chance and you won't be sorry you made the investment. Do a web search for Productivity Talk. They have forums on IT and SH that will help you decide.

There is an importer utility that comes with the Instant Text program and it will import abbreviations into Instant Text from many other programs, Shorthand, Shortcut, DocQScribe, Dictaphone, SmartType, SoftMed, Flash Forward, and a bunch of others, even your Quickcorrect and Autocorrect files if you want.

Instant Text will have a bit of a learning curve when you first start to use it, but stick with it because it is is well worth the money. I can't tell you how much IT helped my production after I switched over to it. I will never give up my Instant Text and wouldn't even consider using anything else.

Yes, I've only been an MT for about 2 years, but it is absolutely worth every penny. You can use it on any platform. Don't hesitate. I've talked to seasoned pros who would not part with it. There is virtually no memorization to it at all. It's awesome.

I have been waiting until I had the money to get it and now I can order it. I have been using phrase express for a while, but think IT would be the best. I was also thinking about getting the Saving Keystrokes book too. I was just wondering if you guys think I would be wasting my time with the book since IT will kind of do the same thing?

I have been working on trying to increase my speed with expanders. So far I've been using Microsoft word to enter expanders but I'm wondering if that is enough. Anyone have any good websites for Instant text tutorial or questions? I did read through productivity talk and did find what I needed. I have not used this software in years. I use autotext, but I would like to use the line counting software that comes wtih IT. I am trying to figure out a short cut to copying text, right clicking on IT , clipboard statistics, and logging each note. Any thoughts on how to do this with keystrokes and NOT the mouse? Just wondered about what you all think is the best expander to use with VR. I used to use Shorthand up to a couple of years ago and now work with Instant Text. It seems to me that Shorthand is very very popular with the VR crowd. Does anyone use Instant Text successfully with VR? The version of IT I have (V Pro) does not have the recording functions and the ability to use shortcuts (like Alt+ and Control+) like Shorthand does. I am looking for Instant Text users who may be able to get me headed in the right direction in regards to compilations. Does anyone use Instant Text with Probity's Integra platform? I just downloaded IT and am having a lot of difficulty using it. First, I had to set it to be on the right side of the screen because otherwise the time marker disappeared. Not a big deal though.
