I was told that M*Modal only runs on IE8? I have IE9 and have spent the last 3 days trying to uninstall 9 and install 8 and I can't on Win7 Pro. So if I can't run IE8 can i use Google Chrome or FF? I'm really puzzled by all this. I thought, since IE9 is better, that the company would use it since they are such a large company. Puzzled.

going through the trouble of installing their platform on your own, eating up your memory.

You may try calling their tech support and seeing if they can help you uninstill 9 and install 8. Good luck!

I did that for the last 3 days. No go. IE8 is not available for Win7Pro, 32-bit. I don't think any tech is going to magically make it happen but I am going to call MModal's IT dept tomorrow a.m. and see what advice they can give me.

The job is actually mine (I have the email paperwork to fill out yet) but I'm hoping that they can work around my inability to have IE8 and let me flex my weekends.

You never did respond about them sending you a computer - do they not do that anymore?

I have heard mixed stories about them supplying computer, but I got one - just 2 months ago and a - see msg

replacement. So now I have two of their computers sitting here, one of which I work on and the other still in the box.

I thought something was wrong with the first one, but didn't have everything hooked-up correctly and didn't realize that till they had sent me another one. So now I have two and this just happened all over the course of 3 months.

I would certainly think its worth asking about. I much rather use their computer because it comes all set and ready to go. All you gotta do is plug it up and log-in, software already installed with all the icons for everything you will need on the desktop.

My home computer is just that, a Vista home basic. I bought it for general use so not sure how it would work out if I had to download a bunch of software etc. Hopefully they will just send you one if so, it only takes a day or two. They are really fast about getting it to you. Got mine UPS.

Thought I would try some of you tecchies out there before hasseling with whatever (if any) tech support DocQscribe has. I am trying to download DQS on my spiffy new machine and getting message "write params failed!" Any idea how to fix this? My company is switching from straight transcription on DQS to ASR on DQS. I've used DQS for two years and didn't even know they had ASR, but apparently they do. Could any of you with experience on this please give me your opinions of the DQS ASR platform? I'm just not sure I want to go through training if I won't want to stay with this company. I did Escription for awhile at another company and hated it. Thanks in advance! ...

My account was switched over 5 weeks ago and truthfully I don't see improvement. One day I think maybe it is getting better and the next day it's worse. I tried to get DocQScribe to load from the DocQManage page for over an hour and finally had to send in a ticket. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble with the system. It showed a green light on DEP. This is getting rediculous. I could not work my scheduled shift on Sunday because there were no jobs available (but incentive stayed in place).
