Hi. I've been working on Bayscribe for years but have a problem that I cannot resolve - the company I work for has essentially no one knowledgeable about anything but the most rudimentary Bayscribe issues and imply it is only me having these issues. They do not offer to contact Bayscribe developers - so I am stuck without a resolve and decreased productivity. With my previous company (several years ago now who had awesome tech help and who knew Bayscribe inside and out), I had same problems that they helped me resolve - unfortunately with such a great tech team available, I was spoiled and back then I didn't write down solutions like I do now. I probably know the answer somewhere in the back of my brain because I have fixed it before... I just cannot find the tweak.
Current OS is Windows 7, 64 bit. But, also had the same issues occur in the past as noted above on XP.
I believe it is some Internet Explorer setting (rather than a Bayscribe setting)... I have had the same issues with both IE8 and IE9. I have gone through every single IE setting, Googled my brains out, and still cannot find the few IE tweaks that I know will fix the problems.
All of these issues require me to take my hands off of the keyboard - and use the mouse - decreasing my productivity significantly. I long ago learned shortcuts and rarely move my hands from the keyboard. It's driving me bonkers. I have also uninstalled/reinstalled Bayscribe/Productivity Tools, and I have gone back to IE8 and even IE7 to no avail. Currently I have IE9.
Here are the specifics:
1) When I am in the Body of the Report, and use the down arrow or spacebar, the cursor goes OUT of the body of the report into the general area of the screen - it should not do this - and requires me to take hands off keyboard, move mouse to body of report and click.
2) Same thing happens when I insert a QA marker or if I use alt + d to call up the doctor name list/roster - if I use it to enter a doc's name, it is fine and the cursor is then right there in body of report and I can keep typing. But, if I just look up a doc's name (which I often do) but do not insert it, the cursor is no longer in the body of the report (who knows where it is), and I have to take hands off keyboard, click mouse, etc. Same thing with QA marker - normally I insert it, hit enter, and then keep typing - hands never keyboard. Now I have to use mouse to click and get my cursor back.
I don't have a virus - and my AV programs update and run regularly, I defrag, etc., etc.
Fingers crossed one of you has had a similar problem. I am posting on any MT forum I can find, so you may see this elsewhere.
Thanks!
