Well.....just compared pay plans - nothappy

Approved time sheet for last week. Used the new pay plan to see the difference. I had over 99% and under 10%. Good thing because I MADE LESS MONEY with this new plan, almost $40. That's for 1 week. So multiply that by 4 weeks - $160 per month. I don't think so. Already took a pay cut by doing VR. Time to start sending out resumes.

Started sending out resumes this weekend. I'm making it my #1 priority to find a new job by February 1st.

They are all pretty much the same.. low pay, horrid platforms, lots of unpaid set up time on reports...

They are the pimps and they throw us a few pennies for the hard work we do anymore.

Most all companies are over hiring, so even if you are a FT employee... you are lucky to get many lines in a day.

If I have to accept this new pay plan and make less money, then I would rather work somewhere else and enjoy the job even if it pays the same as this new plan. I'm sick of being screwed over. Five years ago, I made well over $40,000/year working 30-35 hours a week. I felt appreciated. I hate what MT has become.

Even as a trainee back in 1975 I made more money than I am making now.

NO WAY AM I GETTING ANOTHER MT JOB. I'm looking for a job OUTSIDE of the house, anything but transcription. I'll scrub toilets if I have to.

I told her that FIESA is going to just keep checking jobs until they can get you under 99% OR they are going to check jobs with small line count to bring that down..WELL! In the last 3 days they checked a 32 line job..I put the word "had" instead of "having" so that brought me down to 99.19%, and then they just checked a 14 line job which I accidentally omitted a word which didnt really change the construct of the meaning of the sentence and that brought me down to 96%!!!!! I see this job going nowhere fast

I don't care what it is, I don't care if I was actually wrong or not. I have decided to request a reversal on every single "error" I receive from now on. I want to drive them crazy enough that they don't WANT to review any of my reports!

I feel so inadequate as a typist after reading all of your posts. I can't type anywhere nearly as fast as you guys. Quality does mean a lot to me, plus at times I'm dyslexic and my fingers have a mind of their own. We got a letter in January stating we would be by now because of "performance improvements and increased production capcity." Well that is not happening. As you all may know, Nuance (formerly known as Focus) has acquired Encompass and OSI companies. So, we get this email today stating a company who formerly handled OSI's HR dept, payroll, benefits, etc. is going to now be handling ours (Nuance). I have taken so many tests lately with probably dozens of companies. I am wondering how you feel about Nuance tests and if it is harder or easier than the other companies. I personally thought Softscript test was kind of hard, compared with Nuance. Some of the transcription audio files were a little hard with mumbling and fast talking dictators, but really not bad when compared to others. I currently work at Nuance. Was a TL (transcription lead), now in Quality, getting paid hourly. Everyone is moving to production pay soon which is scaring the bejesus out of us all. Is the difference in salary as a coder (even as entry level) worth it enough to invest in schooling and change careers or should I just be looking for an entirely different career? How long before you can start making more? How hard is it to get licensed? I am a pretty quick study ...

try to get your old schedule back? My change was "forced" on me and I was wondering with the new grouping and such, if I should try to get my schedule back. It was kind of a bizzare change in that I already worked one weekend day and was told I needed to work the other weekend day instead, so now I dont even have 2 days off in a row...that could be remedied I am told, but switching my other day offf....that was optional and for now I said no. ...
