Can I confess to a guilty pleasure? I left Nuance back in July and I confess that at the end of the day I love coming on this site and feeling like my decision to leave gets validated every time I do. Honestly, it feels better than chocolate, and less calories. I left with an "Anything would be better than this mentality," and actually it's been true. I started working at a large DIY store, made way more money, but admittedly did find it pretty boring (I think because I'd loved transcription for so long, 43 years, and it kind of gets into your blood, right?). So I was fortunate enough to get back into transcription again (not Nuance!), as an IC. Not making much money but that's OK for me, as it's not my only source of income. It's so nice to love logging on to work again! Anyway, I do feel for all of you navigating this latest "rollout," and wish you the best as you move forward. Obviously, everybody has to decide for themselves, "Should I go or should I stay," but just wanted to mention that even at age 65 there is "life after Nuance."

I just got hired at a large DIY store this week also. I'm starting out part time, every new hire does. I will work both jobs until I can go full time and get health insurance.

So until then, I will sit here and make my state's minimum wage to cover my insurance premiums when I am not working at my new job.

I cannot wait to say bye bye to Nuance for good!!

Just wanted to thank you for your post. It is nice to know that it would be okay to make such a difficult decision. I think your message has given a sense of hope...which right now, I don't think a lot of us have. So thank you for that!

I had been there for 8 years and don't know why I had not left before. This past year I have seen changes coming and got out before all of this that I am reading. I would definitely NOT work for this nonsense. There are other jobs out there and I am so happy working right now. I feel for the MTs that are still at Nuance going through this.

I did my last ASR for MModal last Friday and started my new job today. My heart goes out to all of you trying to keep your heads above water with Mmodal. I've never seen such a mess of a company as this one is and from the posts on here, it just keeps getting worse. So this check should've had my training pay, a full week and another half week's worth of work. Nope! They are not even putting out anything that makes sense, lots of gibberish, sometimes made-up words, and is taking a huge amount of time to edit this bunk. Some KSMTs posted they got paid today, some got paid on the 1st. This tells me this was not an issue with late line counts or the payroll guru asking them to kindly roll payroll ahead a few days. Truth has to be they do not have the money available to make payroll and had to pick and choose who to pay based on the money available.
