Read E-mail about referral program bonuses and plans, talking about needing lots of MTs for lots of shifts. Oh, the reason I am taking the time to post here is that I have NSA again. Have 3 accounts and occasionally help on a couple of others. Work will come in later this morning, but the problem is can only make up the NSA time on Friday afternoon/evening. That truly sucks. Guess I better spend my down time referring friends to Nuance huh? Not...

I read that message as I was told to get out of my primary account...no work. They must be proud when they overhire and make it so that we can't earn a decent paycheck...gaaahhh...I hate this company!

Same here too. I wouldn't refer someone to this company unless I wanted to see them lose their house cause they couldn't pay their mortgage.

Why do they keep hiring when there are NJA? I just don't get it.

Because they are greedy. They want the jobs done as fast as possible so that they can make more $$. If they run out of TAT or aren't getting to the work fast enough, they are afraid they will missed opportunity. Its easier to overstaff and make the TLs deal with that aftermath. Poor people management but they don't care...bottom line is making the money.

I get on a big new account, we work 6 months on it and then bang... it's gone, to India I assume.

OOW on 4 accounts. So much overstaffing. When India gets behind, we will suddenly have work on Friday afternoon, just in time to ruin any weekend plans you might have.

My main account requests mandatory 1 hour overtime PLUS commitments for overtime from Friday through Monday.

I get my 40 hours in and that's it. They don't pay enough for me to give up my 2 days off.

I and at least a couple of other QAs that I know of have been shuffled around to various accounts or trained to audit, after work dwindled for one reason or another. This morning, I'm pulled off an account and am sitting here in limbo waiting for what comes next.

Sick of this....would quit, but need the money badly.

Couldn't find a definitive answer to this question but it comes up a lot: One of the PA's I transcribe for is not consistent when they refer to the patient. They use the patient's first name and then last name throughout the report. I've been following how they dictate, but think it makes it look disrespectful to the patient to use their first name. So did anyone else receive an e-mail that some unnamed company was looking for 50 MTs, and if you responded, that persone-mailed you back asking to attach your resume so she can forward it to the company in hopes of getting a referral bonus? This person did not name the companye, so no idea what the real deal is! Sounds very suspect to me! ...

I had a company send me an IP address to take a test. Once I e-mailed them back and asked what in the world am I suppose to do with this, they told me I had to have a FTP program. I tried one and it confused me to no end. Does anyone have any ideas on FTP programs? Thanks a lot! ...

The abbreviation "q.d." is listed as one of the dangerous abbreviations and we are not supposed to use it, ever. Yet when someone dictates the word "daily" in a report, ASR routinely substitutes "q.d." in its place. This is just wrong and has to be corrected manually. ...

I like how they try to make this seem great. It's probably no better or worse than we were before with the monthly incentives. it is virtually impossible to get your required lines without working 10-12 hours a day. I have never seen such a mess. It is worse now than when it was first started. Nothing makes sense. The numbers it spews out are all wrong, medications are a joke, and even the word associations are unbelievable. Isn't someone supposed to be monitoring this program to make sure it works or is this just another burden added to the MLS to fix a mess without getting paid extra ...

now I don't know if I want to be a coder :(. I planned on taking the CPC and then after a few years taking the CCS. Before I started my program, I was naive and didn't realize how difficult and complex coding is. I don't know that I can sit in front of a computer for 8 hours and code all day long.
