Just saw my new QC paycheck - outta here

It will be deposited tomorrow... comes out to a bit below 11 dollars an hour. My new part-time pays me more than that. Okay Nuance, you win, although I'm not sure what. I'm gone.

This whole fiasco is a windfall for the other MTSOs who are cleaning up now getting all kinds of great employees as refugees from Nuance. And as soon as the hospitals start seeing all the crap they get coming out of India, those other MTSOs will be getting those accounts, too. I'll be back on my old accounts soon, I'm sure. Congratulations, Nuance. Go tell your shareholders.

even though I can only claim 40 hours a week, it was more like 60. Ridiculous and totally not worth it. The other MTSO I'm going to is getting a great QC and they know it.

When you say crazy lines, were those just your regular QC lines or do they include editing and transcription of reports when you ran out of QC work? Did not think that much was going to QC these days, or have so many QC folks quit that you have lots of work? Thanks for your response. Just curious as to where all the work is going. Sorry you are on the Titanic with the rest of us now.

No editing/transcription lines since I didn't really want to take that away from the MTs, but I really had to range far and wide to gather up those lines. I noticed other QCs doing the same thing, it's been sort of the Wild West here the past few weeks with everybody everywhere. BUT... had a good interview today with another MTSO and will be off this sinking ship soon!

no way about patient safety. It is only encouraging subpar work. I guess in the long run they figure customers should get used to it since offshore will soon be the ntotal QC force and we've all seen their work.

I have been waiting to see what the QC were going to say about their new paychecks. My last day was the last day of our old pay system. I figured it would turn out like this. I am also curious about the questions the previous poster asked. I am sorry this has happened. They have really screwed us all.

As a former QA/QC team lead, I would be assigned to check all of the reports coming from India. They were seriously scary. After a week I was ordered to let them go through. I complained to no avail, and one account left due to the severity of the errors. It's all about the lines. There can also be as much as a $10 an hour difference in pay. I had 30 years of experience and a QA person with 4 years made $9 an hour more than me. Why? Because he came over with an account manager who got it for him. It amazes me how some of the managers have never typed a line (which is why MTs yell when they can't get an answer to a question) and some managers move MTs up to team leads who have typed one type of report only and have maybe a year total experience. The company gets fat, the patients suffer.

this is the second time my check was waaaay low than what I usually receive. I don't know what is going on. Just wanted to say that I just looked at my bank account as I got pad yesterday. What a nightmare. I will have a horrible weekend now because of that. Last year I made $13,000 for the year with MT, down from $26,000 the year before, and down from $40,000 back in the good old days. My income for this year will probably go before $13,000 for my taxes. My check was $682 for 2 weeks and that was with having work most of the time. And they have not taken out for me ...

Finally happened. My husband's 32/hr/wk WalMart check was more than mine today. How degrading is that? Big decision day today. Do I walk and spend 40 hours a week looking for a better job, which wouldn't take much? I have tried everything to get my ASR production up. There is no way, at 40% less a line than full transcription rate, that I can even make a difference. So, so depressed today. Don't know what to do. ...

As an ex-Transcender/now Nuance employee (ugh!), we used to be able to see what our paycheck would be two days in advance by logging onto ADP and checking our "pay statements" from the home page. On the "new" ADP per Nuance, it seems that is not available any more. Has anyone had any luck seeing their pay statements on the new downloaded site or know where to go? Thanks! ...
