The stress of it all and the fact that QA holds the pursestrings are not worth the few extra dollars. To think I can go from 12 CPL to 7 CPL for just dropping from 100% to 99% in any given week is just too much stress to have hanging over my head. Good luck, Nuance, keeping quality MTs. I hope you are happy with yourselves for having driven this field into the hell it has become. And Merry Christmas to you, too.

This is exasperating, frustrating and so unbelievably unfair. I just can't get over how they can audit less than 100 lines when many thousands have been transcribed and use that to determine one's pay! I had 2 minor errors (verb tense) in a report short enough to cause my score to go down to 97.something. This happened the first day of the pay week, so now I sit with that score for the entire rest of the week, even if everything else is 100% perfect. And they say this plan is not punitive and that they "want to take care of our MLS"? Do they seriously think we believe this nonsense they spew?

Someone on here coined the term "Scruance" a couple weeks ago. Nothing is more appropriate.

Look at the millions Gruber was paid to do a snow job on America with regard to Obamacare.

Imagine what the calculus geek was paid to do a screw job on Nuance MTs.

It's ludicrous. Not only to correct it as an error, but actually use that to cut pay. Really Nuance? And they don't expect a mass exodus?

Phase 1: Fewer experienced MTs and the recruitment of more newbies (more likely to accept wage scale) to train the Dragon.

Phase 2: A continued exodus of ALL American MTs, experienced or otherwise, until ALL work is done on foreign shores for far less $. It's all part of the big plan: a win-win for Nuance.

By signing on with Nuance you are only working toward your own demise. They only want you as long as it takes to get voice wreck trained to whatever new docs in that account!

Then no work ALOT until they can intimidate you into quitting with Fiesa.

...we MTs were not automatically taken on by Nuance. All of us had to apply and test for the same jobs we had been doing all along.

If Nuance's plan was to send our work abroad, it would seem that they would just send the work, not bothering to test and hire us. My impression, therefore, is that Nuance simply wants to obtain a monopoly in this field of Health Information Services by buying out as many transcription companies as they can, convincing clients to buy Dragon Software and then employing former MTs to work as editors--for much less money than they made when they were transcribing for other companies--to clean up the mess left by the VR software.

Sometimes I wonder if Nuance isn't breaking anti-trust laws as well as labor laws. It would be interesting to find out.

Yeah, I did more lines this past pay period than the previous but made less on my paycheck by $40 because of my QA score and where I ended up on the new chart. I can't afford this!

I'm guessing your pay rate per line is now dependent on your QA score at a given time? Just curious how that works.

NOT 12 CPL - VR at 50%

It may appear your line count is 12 cpl, but if you are on VR, you are only basically getting paid half the lines since they use a formula to determine your line count and not just a straight count of lines. On top of that, no weekly incentive and no quarterly bonus. Nuance is saving a bundle.

this is the second time my check was waaaay low than what I usually receive. I don't know what is going on. Just wanted to say that I just looked at my bank account as I got pad yesterday. What a nightmare. I will have a horrible weekend now because of that. Last year I made $13,000 for the year with MT, down from $26,000 the year before, and down from $40,000 back in the good old days. My income for this year will probably go before $13,000 for my taxes. My check was $682 for 2 weeks and that was with having work most of the time. And they have not taken out for me ...

Finally happened. My husband's 32/hr/wk WalMart check was more than mine today. How degrading is that? Big decision day today. Do I walk and spend 40 hours a week looking for a better job, which wouldn't take much? I have tried everything to get my ASR production up. There is no way, at 40% less a line than full transcription rate, that I can even make a difference. So, so depressed today. Don't know what to do. ...

As an ex-Transcender/now Nuance employee (ugh!), we used to be able to see what our paycheck would be two days in advance by logging onto ADP and checking our "pay statements" from the home page. On the "new" ADP per Nuance, it seems that is not available any more. Has anyone had any luck seeing their pay statements on the new downloaded site or know where to go? Thanks! ...

Last Friday was my last day and I looked on Ultipro last night and my check for tomorrow is only for my PTO balance. There is nothing on there for the last 2 weeks I worked.
