to QA for them to try to decipher, evil grin. This physician is a moron and he starts sentences in the middle of another one, a complete mess. I'm not going to get busted by trying to make him make sense on a post audit. SCRUANCE is right......

Doesn't it drive you absolutely nuts that a lot of the posters on here do not know/understand or care to learn the difference between QC and QA? It does me because if they would figure it out, it would clear up a bunch of confusion and the misinformation posted and spread on these boards.

So I am supposed to learn about the different types of "quality" control personnel, why? So I can then not really get bothered when some idiotic QC picks a report to death with nonsensical "errors" because, well, it really doesn't count?

Why the heck does Nuance have all these different grades of nitpickers that we are supposed to learn about when us MTs have been reduced to minimum wage workers, told we are not good enough, without work often enough, scratching for hours. We are left quaking in our boots for the financial repercussions wrought by these holier-than-thou nitpickers and we are supposed to discern between them?

Who has the time or inclination to care, frankly? And why does Nuance have all these different grades of personnel and rules when it would be easier for them to have only one type of QA and far less of them? Only one reason I can see and that's more of them equals less money for us. I truly hope they find a way of getting money off them too (all of us at the bottom are expendable, right?) because turnabout is fair play.

Confusion and misinformation, I'll say.

The platform is not too bad, the work is familiar, I like my account. That is all I am working for now, and if it is minimum wage so be it, because many other places pay the same and at least I have the advantage of familiarity.

But, no, I could not care less about QC, QA, all the distinctions of idiotic FIESA and pay plan, and I should not have to. I am too busy working when there is work, and I only pay attention to that garbage when I absolutely have to, to sign off on some usually idiotic non-error so a QA/QC can get another notch in their belt.

Nuance has reduced "quality" to a joke, a means to take away pay from what should be their most valuable asset, their moneymaker, us MTs. Sad we cannot fight it, but I refuse to join it.

I ignore them both. What difference does it make when they make corrections that we know are wrong. How do you ever trust the information from them? That's what drives me nuts. But hey, as long as you know the difference between the two, everything will be okay, right?

I worked for LabCorp for 7 years - started at $14/hr - left 7 yrs later at $19.86/hour -- company has own credit card for employees - called a Clear Card - available to ALL employees - Regular working hours. I know QA wouldn't be able to get it either, but when I uploaded the job the QA box was checked and I tried to uncheck it and it wouldn't let me. Are they kidding? Who is going to be sending ANYTHING to QA and take a chance of having their pay cut? Especially if it's the beginning of the work week! Yes, the clients will be getting blanks and I know they will be complaining. The Q keeps sending us e-mails telling us to cut down on QA submissions. Are they kidding? I feel that I flag a lot and send to QA a lot. I've been at this for about a year, do acute care, lots of ESL etc so I think it's a reasonably difficult account; but I ask myself do really experienced MTs, e.g. those at this for 5 years or 10 years or more, send so many jobs over to QA? Okay, I got a ding today from my extremely sweet and helpful QATL. It seems I did not send as a cc a requesting physician dictated. I looked at the report and I did enter the requesting physician in the ADT and the body of the report. I thought if they did not specifically request a cc be sent, then you did not. Am I wrong? Old dog needs help. Also, I thought if the Req Physician was in the ADT it automatically received a carbon copy.. Hmmm.. ...
