Has anyone heard from their TSM about - the changes coming November 1?

Still completely in the dark over here, and November 1 is only a few days away. Does anyone have inside knowledge of specifically what is changing? It would be nice to know what kind of nonsense they have planned for us.

I think they are worried people will leave if they gave the heads up on the changes coming. From what I am reading on here, it seems everyone is in the dark on this, which has me really concerned. I think it is time for me to start looking elsewhere for a job. I don't get a good vibe from these changes coming.

I have a bad feeling too. No matter what changes, it's obviously not going to be to our benefit, we know that. We're going to have to work twice as hard to make the same amount of money, or less.

I sent my resume out a few a few jobs outside of MT. Hopefully I will hear back soon. This is getting ridiculous.

I don't like the fact that no details are being given. Any time NUisANCE uses the word "exciting" I cringe.

If they screw with my pay, I will be job hunting. Where I live, this is a good time to find a job. I'm actually making a decent pay check here, but I will not take a pay cut from them. If we do not matter to them, then screw 'um.

It was already noted in the email sent out on October 10 that the changes will include a "minimal base pay" with opportunities to "earn" extra bonuses.

They are changing our compensation and have a whole slew of "new and exciting" changes over the next 2 months. Supposedly, November 1 is the first part of it, but no one has heard any info from their TSM. Radio silence as of right now.

This might just be acute MLs, I don't know; but needles to say changes are never a good thing for us, so be on guard.

Honestly, doesn't it sound like the patients are being compensated? - nm

After all of these many, many, many, many (okay, you get the point) years of transcribing, my wrists don't hurt, my back doesn't hurt and my neck is still okay, but the one thing that has me really bothered is my heel !!! I have tested a few times before on mttest.com, a site that several MT companies use for testing potential MT's, and recently received this piece of information: In sections that require you to type in the correct answer, typing a "Capital" letter in the first letter of your answer constitutes a wrong answer. I just heard that the 2 largest MTSOs in the world are approaching virtually every large to medium-sized hospital and medical center in the country with an offer for 10 cpl for transcription. I'm not even sure who the 2 largest are, but I'm pretty sure one of them is CBay and both are offshore companies to be able to offer that rate. to escape from MT or supplement, that is patient advocate. This piece on the radio said there were only a couple hundred or so in the US right now and need could be increasing rapidly. There is a legitimate company called rev.com that hires transcriptionists and has good rate of pay. Supposedly, they only hire maybe half of all who apply. I'm doing an operative report. The surgical assistant starts the report and gives the demographic information and then puts the phone down.
