There is not enough work yet you advertise for positions while dangling a $2000 sign-on bonus carrot. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH WORK for those already employed!

Everyone and their dog is on my primary account because their primary account has no work. I am punished every single day because I run out of work. There are other accounts that need work among my TSM's pool. Put the newbies there, NOT ON MY PRIMARY.

LET ME DO MY JOB IN A REGULAR 8-HOUR DAY INSTEAD OF 12+ HOURS EVERY FREAKING DAY OF THE WEEK JUST TO GET IN 40 HOURS.

Question for Nuance pseudo-big shots, do you sit at your desk for 12+ hours a day 7 days a week and only get paid for 8 and work on 6 different accounts to boot and get abused by FIESA? No, I didn't think so. I don't think you would be able to handle the abuse either day in and day out.

Believe me, we want to do our jobs and do them well, but just not in a hostile work environment and with little to no work available. Oh, and yes, STOP THE WAGE THEFT AND GIVE US BACK WHAT YOU STOLE WHEN YOU TOOK OVER ALL THE ACQUISITIONS.

I work 4 days a week, a schedule provided to me by Nuance, and 2 of those 4 days I am OOW almost all my hours on 6 accounts, always told to flex, make sure I work my committed schedule, blah...

I have a question for the Nuance supporters...As I am into my 7th hour of my 5 hour shift because I have had no work again today, and I am typing horrible ESL with horrible sound quality and tons of background noises, I know how little I will be paid for all my efforts because more than 10% of my lines will have to go to QC.

Do any Nuance supporters on here honestly believe this is a fair way to pay employees? Honestly? I send things through hoping not to get caught because I am trying to keep below the 10%. How is that plan about quality? Do you honestly believe that?

I just have a suggestion for everyone working day shift and running out of work: Have you thought about night shift? I worked night shift at Nuance and only ran out of work around the major holidays. I know nights is not for everyone, but thought I would throw that out there.

I have worked night shift for 4 years at Nuance and never have been OOW. For the past 3 months, I am regularly OOW because the "day shift" people "flex" as there is no work on their shifts. Please stay on your own shifts.

IMO, ALL of them, POC, TSM, etc., know what is going on but look the other way, I for one have shown proof, yet nothing is ever done, and to me THAT says all I need to know of their character and what they are about. I have no respect for any of them, and IMHO I don't think they have any for themselves either.

already with more planned. The domestic staff left and the high standards expected are nothing more than an attempt to balance some sort of quality against the work that is sent to India. They don't care about consistentcy in accounts, etc. As long as a domestic employee is producing a percentage of reports and at a quality they deem acceptable for appearances, they don't care who is in that seat. The constant hiring is to replace all that are leaving. It's just a huge revolving door. Not worth stressing over, it's been coming for years now unfortunately.

I agree with you except the part about newbies because they are people too and they have feelings. Don't forget that there was a time you were a newbie too.

None of the newbies are expected to stick around either. - Please get that.

If your work is temporary, and all Nuance work is, why would they care about retaining people? The last 5 years' newbies have had to get in and out of the Nuance revolving doors right along with the rest of us. The only difference is the newbies were HIRED, the others were ACQUIRED, all the same $9 nookie to Nuance.

This 2009 article is interesting, in that AHDI and MTIA cheered the advent of EHR that would ultimately put tens of thousands of MTs out of work.  The authors of the Book of Style are dumber than a box of rocks.  Yet, most MTSOs insist on following their misguided rules full of improper grammar and punctuation.  Of course, the AHDI and MTIA directors pad their wallets by selling their product to MTs who can barely afford to buy groceries these days on their salaries as MTs.  ...

According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

I thought they were 2 different services.  Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows.  All the small companies have been merged I guess.  I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR.  Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...

Does anyone know why the ad says "No inquiries from overseas" when they obviously offshore the work?  Anyone reading that would incorrectly assume they do not offshore.  I was reading an article in the newspaper that a journalist was talking about a few days ago regarding the hospital outsourcing to the Web/Nuance, and the spokesperson for the hospital said in the article that the company only employs US MTs.  ...

If Webmedx does away with or changes their recently advertised "PRODUCTION BASED INCENTIVE" bonus and adopts the Nuance quality based bonus then this change may be considered by quite a few WMX employees as yet another cut in pay. Is this true? Because if so that means they dont take into consideration years of experience, opportunity for increase or nothing. Seems kind of hard to work for an obviously big and successful company that is only willing to pay their employees 0.41 cpl and thats it, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I mean they dont come off to be the type of company that "cant" afford to give increases in pay to their transcriptionist. I heard that if you work from 10pm to 6pm you can make 0.46 cpl, bet ...

I received an incentive bonus this paycheck (for the first time ever). My QA score was 99.3%. So, I get an email today from my supervisor that my latest audit was only 98.2% and they are going to reaudit me in 2 weeks to see if my score is improving or if I need further disciplinary action. WTF? I've been with Nuance for 3 years and think it's time to jump ship. This company is messed up, and the QA is so inconsistent. ...

In house just got outsourced to Nuance.  In our meeting, they said the PTO is 10 days total, which you have to use for holidays and sick time as well.  So, if you take all 6 holidays (if that is even possible), you get 4 days off a year?  Not even a week for vacation left over.  Someone asked if that changes with time of service and they said no, that will never go up.  ARE YOU KIDDING?  Is this what the rest of you get for PTO, or is this just something they have s ...

I have been with Nuance a few years.  I'm an MT.  I'm not the best MT out there, nor am I the worst.  I read the comments on these boards and my jaw is on the floor.  FYI, not everyone has the bad experiences that have been discussed on this site.  I can't account for the horrible things I hear people saying about Nuance, except to say if things are really that bad for you, maybe MT is not for you or Nuance is not a good fit for your career path. ...

I AM SO LIVID!  These QCs are unbelievable!  I used "and" instead of "the" and the QC marks me off for English misspelling/typo which is a 0.5 error instead of an English word misuse which is less at 0.25. Do you think "and" and "the" are typos?  I think not!  You see, this is evidence that they are being totally unfair and proof that they do not want anyone to make incentive!  This is my opinion!  Anything to bring your score down!  Man this pisses me off!&n ...

There is someone who claims to be a QC for Nuance and that they are only paid minimum wage for this position.  That is utter nonsense.  Why would any experienced MLS take a minimum wage job in the MT industry when you could make more than that on production easily.  If you are experienced enough to be in QC or QA then please don't lie to the rest of us and tell us that you only make minimum wage.   ...
