any Ex JLG get their direct deposit yet? - was hoping to have it today

Maybe I just checked too early? Thanks!

deposit - Former MT

I don't know about JLG, but when the Q bought us out my first direct deposit was there just like nothing had changed when I logged onto my personal system to check my deposit....that was at about 7:30 a.m. EST

dd - betterlife

I believe we have to wait 1 pay-period, we will get a paper check the first time, then we will get the direct deposit. Since we did not have DD with JLG, they have to verify all the info. Not sure if this is correct, but I did not have anything in my acct as of yet.

yep, I got my paper check in the mail! LOVE MQ!!!!! - Original poster

So nice to be paid on time!
huh - that aint right
[ In Reply To ..]
You love the Q for getting paid on time.

You can go flip a burger at McDonalds and get paid on time too! I even hear Walmart pays on time. So does 7-11. I have it on good understanding that 98% of the workforce in the US pays on time.

if you are so unhappy stop complaining and - move on

geez
people have a right to complain - geez
[ In Reply To ..]
and getting paid on time should be a given, nothing special. It's pathetic how transcriptionists don't deserve what other employees do.
of course you have a right. But why stay if you are unhappy? - young gun
[ In Reply To ..]
Your natural state of being is joy. If MQ doesn't make you happy I hope you can find something that does :)
HOW ON EARTH WAS I COMPLAINING? - that aint right
[ In Reply To ..]
ALL I SAID WAS THAT YOU 98% OF THE EMPLOYERS ON THE EARTH PAY ON TIME.

DONT LIKE MY POST, DONT ANSWER IT... BUT DONT ACCUSE ME OF DOING SOMETHING I DID NOT.
And it also ain't right - Nick

to scream! It does not help.
thats right, keep the banter going - bunch of knuckleheads

I am sure that participating in the nonsense helps? Just had to throw those pennies in the pot.
pennies in the pot - hehe

Not true with MT, especially if IC, big issue - Like being paid on time
[ In Reply To ..]
After working for several MTSOs who do not pay on time and when working as IC who has had to chase down paychecks and once even had to file in small claims court, it is wonderful to work for an MT company who pays on time every time, a big plus in my book and one of the first things I look for in a company. It does not matter how well they pay if you have to beg for your paycheck.
its disguting that a job that pays on time for an mt is - special

.
If you have worked in this industry for a - Give me a break
[ In Reply To ..]
substantial length of time, you would know that getting paid on time is a major issue with many MT companies, cannot lump MT in with other industries, like comparing apples to oranges in many espects.

Your response shows your experience level.
getting paid on time is nothing to write home about - working for q still stinks

How does my response show my experience level - that aint right
[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe I am not a bum and do not jump from job to job...

How does that assessment sit? About as good as your assessment of me?
Because anyone with years of MT experience - Give me a break
[ In Reply To ..]
would know that getting paid on time in MT is a big deal because it does not happen with every company like other industries, especially as an IC (independent contractor) bcause some MTSOs often don't pay their MTs until they get paid, and doctors are often very lax about paying their bills, not to mention that as an IC you have little to no legal recourse except small claims court when not being paid and these MTSOs know it.

I have been around the block and back. I have 27 years in the industry in both acute care and clinic. I worked in-house at a hospital the first few years (making $30 an hour, those days are gone). I then had my own hospital accounts, but got tired of working 24/7 after several years of that and trying to raise a family, so turned the accounts over to another MT working for me. I then worked for a few other MTs who had their own accounts over several years (2 at the same time). When one of those accounts went with a service and the others I was not getting paid regularly, I started working for MTSOs (relieved to be working a regular schedule at 40 hours a week without the headache and stress of worrying about the accounts, all I had to do was type). I worked for several MT companies big and small (some did not pay on a regular schedule and you never knew when you were going to get a check, even as employee status) and, after a couple of years of that nonsense, found MQ to be the best fit for me, not perfect by any means, but the best fit as far as being paid on time, schedule, platform, tools provided, and being left alone to do my job. I have been with MQ for 5+ years now. I also work on the side as a fill in (sick time and vacations) for a local clinic and for a chiropractic office down the street using tapes when they get overloaded. I gave up on becoming full time at the local clinic because they have only 4 MTs and none of them are leaving any time soon, but they do pay very well.

I do not "jump from job to job," nor am I a bumb, and I am not from the "entitlement generation." The jobs I have had were over a period of 27 years with the latter 2 years of that spent finding a company that best fit my needs until retirement in a few more years.

If you have not worked for more than one or two companies or as an IC, you cannot make educated judgments or comparisons about whether the one you work for is good or bad, nor can you make judgments about what is important to other MTs as far as being paid on time in this industry.

Judge not or you shall be judged was the point of my post to you.
cant be a teacher if ya cant be taught - sm

Judge not or you shall be judged...

That is exactly what you did to the OP. Maybe take the medicine before you dish it out.
pretty sad when being paid for a job makes you happy...sm - minwageworker

Being paid should be a given, not something to celebrate. Boy, have we all been brainwashed!!

Direct Deposit, Thought I Would Share
May 08, 2013

Just thought I would share.  With direct deposit, I've read people saying they don't have bank accounts or whatever, and I have one, but choose to use a Netspend card for my direct deposits.  The GOOD THINGS about the card are that first of all, you receive your direct deposit the MINUTE it is sent by your company.  I am ALWAYS paid two days earlier than payday and that is on both jobs that I work.  There is no waiting for the bank to clear and such or worrying abou ...

Not Liking Lack Of Direct Deposit.
Mar 06, 2015

The company I work for is decent, as far as MTSOs go. Pay is better than most but still crappy IMO.  The problem is they do not offer direct deposit. Receiving my check is so sporadic with mail service being horrible. Some pay periods I get it 2 days after mailing, other times it may take up to a week. I have bills to pay and really need something that I can depend on being there at regular interval. Really considering going elsewhere if they don't start offering Direct Depos ...

Anybody Work For Breitner? Direct Deposit Question
Oct 03, 2013

I'm a recent hire working for Breitner.  I got my training pay through the mail and now I am supposed to be getting my first regular direct deposit pay check tomorrow, 10/04.  However, when I go to Paychex and check my paystubs online, it says no check history.   I know pay day isn't until tomorrow, but my experience with other places is that usually the check history will show up online a few days in advance of the day the actual check hits via direct deposit.  I& ...

Anyone Ever Had An MTSO Request The MT Pay A 'deposit' For A Software License?
Nov 01, 2010

1.  I s/w an MTSO today for a potential job.  They told me that they are going to be switching platforms and that the new software comes with a 30-day free license but after that, they ask that all MTs pay a $250 license fee.  She said it was refundable after employment ended so long as I sign off that I will not use the software anywhere else.  This sounds kinda fishy to me, since it seems that this expense should be something paid for by the company.  2.&nbs ...
