share too much health info with an insurance company that they don't already know if the rate reduction is only a couple of bucks anyway.
I'm so disgusted. I carry health/dental/vision on myself and my husband, and my premium just went up 30.00 a pay period...that's 60.00 more monthly!! I pay entirely too much for just us 2 as it is, but we have need for meds, and being without is not an option. My husband is in between jobs. Just needed to vent. Insurance just should not cost this much. It's disgusting what comes out of my check!! ...
Thanks to open enrollment, just cancelled all medical insurance/benefits to keep $188 per month from being taken from my pay which is too meager to afford the insurance premium AND food.... ...
The computer I just bought has Windows 7 premium. Now I'm wondering if most companies want the professional edition? Ugh, then I'd have to buy that separately. Can anyone tell me if companies mean premium home version or professional version when they say Windows 7 required? TIA! ...
Hi, I am getting a new computer tonight and need to know if any of you are using Win 7 Home Premium with your Stedman's software? It says at Microsoft that to use older XP programs we need to have Win 7 Professional, but if I can use Win 7 Home Premium and save myself $100 I'd rather do that! Also I wonder if my Instant Text Pro will work with Win 7 Home Premium too, anyone know? Thanks! ...
Hi, does anyone know if the health plan for family quoted for Transtech Medical is monthly or per pay period? I saw for the plan 3, $500 deductible, $375 something and was wondering if that was per pay period for family or per month? ...
As with most of you, my pay from Medquist has taken a total nose dive ever since ASR went to 85% while at the same time cutting our transcription rate down for ASR from 70% to 60%. That's a 40% pay cut!!! I've had to take another job elsewhere to try to make ends meet. Besides that, our health benefits are the absolute worst and get worse every year. Can anyone ever remember any kind of cost of living raise? I used to make $36,000 annu ...
Pt is being evaluated for reduction mammoplasty. Dictated:
My concern is her s/l weight type ratio.
Is weight type correct? Cannot totally understand him.

Why is it that we receive a reduced line rate when the blanks cannot be filled in by QA either? I've checked my feedback and most of the QA markers I left were also left blank by the QA person. So those reports should not count against us. How am I supposed to know what QA can hear or what they know? ...
Hoping everyone has found new and happy homes. Frightening to think we can so easily lose our job (through no fault of our own). I understand it was not just new people hired for that specific account but some of you had been there a while and were put on it and got zapped. I thought of asking for transfer to it simply because it was a large account. Wow, I dodged that bullet. Sorry you were not as lucky.
Best of luck to you (and the rest of us). ...
I have worked for the same company since 2010. I received a phone call today that my primary account has demanded a "flat-rate price reduction" so my pay will also be reduced for my standard transcription line rate to "accomodate the client" and not lose the account. I do work on a speech rec platform and most of the reports are edited, but I have never had anything like this happen before. I like my company and the accounts I work on and there is usually plenty of work, but I ...
This has to be related to money...firing those making 9/5, 10/6, 8/4, and hiring at what, 7/3?? If you're a new hire for MM, please share your insights, or better yet, what is your line rate? ...
Seem to remember at one point they were reducing percentage paid on some platforms, there was a lot of hubaloo and then (if I am not mistaken) they went back on this and allowed them to be paid for full lines typed.
Is my memory correct?
Going by this I wonder if there is a ray of sunshine at the end of this long, long tunnel. Perhaps they will make further adaptations to this plan as they figure out it isn't workign well. This HEENT/HENT crap is totally unreal and that ...
Currently working on an OR for a septoplasty/turinate reduction...
The sentence is: Stay sutures were secured to one another externally below the s/l chiumella.
Driving me crazy trying to find out this word!! Any help would be appreciated! ...
The e-mail I got said it has been reduced to 2 cents above your line rate. Bonus before was set at line rate and 1/2, which I thought they did because it would be the equivalent to "time and a half," which is, I believe, the law when you are working beyond 40 hours in a week. If you are working bonus, which is usually the case, above your 40 hours, is it legal for them not to pay the equivalent of time and a half? ...
I just can't get going fast on these terrible accounts. I was doing 200 lph ST at my old job and nearly 400 lph VR (on EditScript) and I don't think I will EVER get this fast at MedQuist. I am really worried that in 2 weeks I will drop down low enough that I either won't get benefits or they will fire me or I will be making minimum wage.
Worried...

Can anyone tell me how to contact payroll? I am fairly new with the company. They forgot to pay me last time at all and this time I was paid line count but was told by the recruiter that I would be paid hourly for the first few weeks. Any information would be greatly appreciated as my CCM is on vacation.
Thanks. ...
Reading over the memo concerning the new payroll schedule, what I sumise is we are not getting paid on 12/24 but will get paid on 12/31 instead. Am I reading this wrong? I sure hope so. ...
Today the payroll dept made a mistake and everyone who was working got clocked off in error. Now CCM wants us to go in and fix it ourselves. Next thing you know they will be sending us a tutorial on how to fix our own computers. I am so tired of all the things we have to do for no pay that I want to scream. It's bad enough that we are paid so little for doing what we were hired to do, we get nothing for all the things we have to do that were not in our job descriptio ...
Letting us know that FICA wage limit will change from $110,100 to $113,700. Thanks. I know I was stressing about whether I would be under the magic number. I also was worried about the max I could put in my 401K. Good to know it is $17,500 but I can also catch up an extra $5000 even though it is more than I will make gross all of next year. Sometimes I just got to shake my head at these emails. Why don't they send an email letting us know w ...
Does anyone have any tricks for being able to get into their payroll company's website? Ever since they got this new company, I have been unable to get in. I can count on the fingers of 1 hand the number of times I've been able to get in. I can get in 1 time, and the next time it will tell me the login failed, user ID invalid. This may be the next day when I'm told my login is invalid.
I've had my login reset numerous times. Yes, I am following ...
