Question to MTs who work on Spheris accounts - Lots of questions actually

1. Now that we are not using Outlook for e-mail anymore (I can only assume since I do no get e-mails there anymore), what will happen to all the e-mails I have saved with valuable account spec information? Are we always going to be able to access that information?

2. I know eventually we will no longer be using the Spheris Intranet page. I notice also that line counts are totally screwed up basically all the time now. Are we still going to be able to get line counts?

3. Accounts specs, samples, normals, etc. Is all this going to be switched to the MQ page also?

I am so upset about these changes. The MQ page is awful! And their e-mail is antiquated at best! You get that awful pop-up between e-mails, deleting e-mails, etc. I think compared to the MQ page, ours is MUCH more advanced and faster. If anything, MQ should have utilized our intranet page, instead of the other way around.

Okay, that's my vent for the day. If anyone knows the answers to any of my questions, I would appreciate some insight. Thanks!

Samples and normals?? I have not had those since 2006, since moving over to DocQscribe. Just finally got the report look up last year which takes way to much time to access anyway.

As far as MQ e-mail... HORRIBLE. Yesterday it took 25 minutes just to get to the mail page.

Just so you know, MQ does not do ANYTHING that makes sense or that would speed up our job. Bunch of idiots running this show.

There are samples. It's called the "repository". When in DocQscribe you hit F5 and you will see samples. If you do not have samples for specific physicians ask your QC to put some in there. I work in the SE Region and my QC always adds samples for us when asked.

Ever since we began to have access to old - documents,

the Repository has shut down. Most of my doctors don't have anything in the Repository. I liked the Repository, was supposed to be "normals" and was a lot quicker to get to than the old records.

Does Spheris still do Yale-NH? - Been there

If so, watch out! At Yale's website, you can see that they are ramping up for Epic big time and it will be implemented soon. At my hospital, our lines went from 20,000+ to pay period to 100 to 200 lines TOTAL! Prepared to be slaughtered and have backup work in place.

I guess that is why this whole "change" has me spooked. The closer we get to the MQ ways of doing things, the more afraid I am that my accounts will disappear, and I will be screwed! (((SHUDDER)))

These are exactly the problems I'm having. I am on 5 Cornerstone accounts.

1. Just today, there were no messages coming through in Outlook, so I figured they were coming through on MQ page. They were, but it takes me so long just to bring up one e-mail, I couldn't even read one e-mail between jobs loading. When I tried, my line count was worse. To make matters worse, one of the coaches wanted to bring to our attention the errors we were making on one account, and my computer monitor will not display her whole message, as she included a chart of the errors. Most e-mails I can't read with this monitor. I think we need wide-screen monitors.

I worried about all the valuable e-mails I saved, and they told me I had to forward them to my new e-mail address. So, I made folders just like in Outlook and forwarded each one. Funny thing, I was looking for an E-mail CCM sent about timekeeping, and all I could find was one page of messages. I know I transferred more than 50. So, right now, I am leaving the rest in Outlook. I may want to forward them, but keep the ones in Outlook in a safe place in case they get deleted.

2. I am always told to go on the Intranet page to get samples still, and account specifics.

3. I e-mailed the person at MQ who sent the MQ login instructions about their SUPER SLOW opening of messages. I wish I had asked who thought up this program. They may think it looks nice, but in actuality, it is so slow, it is not workable. This person who sent this to me said it is slow, and they are trying to figure out why it is so "retarded."

4. To top it off, the person who complained about errors on one account asked if we are still using OLC. OLC (on-line collaboration) is impossible if nobody knows if they got an e-mail. OLC means somebody can listen to your blanks, and see if they can figure them out.

Hey Spheris MTs out there. I worked for Spheris for a while not too long ago but quit for another company. Nothing wrong with Spheris at all, just love the new company flexibility much, much more.
