add a blank line while in auto-numbering, like if they want #1 to be in several different paragraphs before going to #2?

Nope. I just make it all one paragraph no matter what. - the dictator wants. NM

Even if you didn't do autonumbering, the formatting will get messed up. On final formatting, it would start each new line with #1, even if you numbered it correctly.

auto-numbering on and off to leave blank lines will cause it to start over with #1 each time, so that definitely won't work. I remove auto-numbering and manually number them so I can leave blank lines where needed. I don't think there's any other option. Yet another thing tech doesn't seem to find very important when updating our Fluency.

What about using subcatagories? - sm

If you place a blank line after #1, you could press control plus the minus key which would make a subcategory that would not auto number it to the #2. It would indent it further, but it would give you the option of paragraphs. I think you should be able to add as many blank lines for paragraphs as you need this way.

that he didn't want subparagraphs, he wanted separate paragraphs within each number. As said above, toggling on and off auto-numbering to do this causes the numbering to begin with 1 again (I remember learning this in Fluency training, so I don't know why a PC would tell everyone to do it), but manually numbering is probably the only way to make it work.

Depends on the context. If it doesn't make sense to make it a subparagraph you know with the second indent. Then I take the numbers off all of them and make it all in paragraph form instead of numbering each diagnosis..Does that make sense?

that the boss has zero idea how this program works. We were specifically told in training that paragraphs within a numbered list will not work, yet she wants us to toggle off the number list and make a paragraph. OK I'll do it but it is going to screw the formatting all to pieces.

They also have it formatted so that even when manual numbering, if you leave a blank line between 1 and 2, #2 will be changed to a #1 on the final copy. The no blank line between numbers in a list rule has been around before the autonumbering. Just before they took away Fluency Manager, I was able to confirm this on the final report when an ILP manually numbered with spaces.

Loaded 7.4 on my own computer. Downloaded and put icon on desktop but I am unable to open it. I sometimes will have this problem if I load links from MM through IE. I used Chrome and FireFox but still unable to open... Spoke to techs in India and they said it is because I'm using my own computer and to contact a domestic tech through my TSM. Does anybody else have lag when they are straight typing? I had this for awhile on their company-provided with inadequate specs (even though they still sent it as an "upgrade" for Fluency) and figured it was due to inadequate RAM since everything else was so slow.
