I wonder what this health care reform will do - LucyK

I pay very little attention to what Washington does, but I have to wonder if this new health care reform that dear old Obama has finally pushed through is going to affect our jobs and pay rate. My husband gets good insurance through UPS, and he says that it will make his insurance less because according to this bill, everyone gets the same coverage. At least that's how he explained it.

So is this going to cost doctors and hospitals money, and if it does, is that going to make them even more stingy when it comes to paying for our services? I have a bad feeling about this.

Just ran into a doctor at the store today. - He said he is moving to Canada

I went to grocery store, stood in line and cashier asks how am I doing? I stated, "DISGUSTED WITH WHAT IS GOING ON WITH OUR GOVERNMENT." Remind you, this is a very democratic state and democratic city I live in.

This good looking guy next to me standing in line holding gorgeous flowers stated, "You and me both." "I am a doctor and I am leaving along with others I work with and we are considering Canada." I looked at him and stated, "I am a medical transcriptionist and my pay has been cut in half and most health care records are done in India." He stated, "GET OUT!" "GET OUT OF HEALTH CARE IF YOU CAN."

The lady next to him stated, "Yep, get out of health care and run." We have a bunch of socialists running America to the ground, especially someone like Emanual telling our president what to do." "I certainly hope this president will not be running another term and from the looks of it, he will not be."

The guy next to the woman states, "Do you seriously think this president will even be in office in the next month or two?" Some laughed. Then the next row standing in line to the cashier started in with comments. It was unreal!!!! Unbelievable!!!

I left and the doctor stated doctors will be leaving to other countries. They will not be able to afford their insurance premiums nor will they be able to even give the good quality of care to the patients who need it which is the main reason doctors will be leaving and that I should get out of the health care field and look into something else for a career and if he could, he would himself, but it is too late and his only choice is to move out of the country. He can then give better quality care to patients like in Canada. Even though Canada also has universal coverage, he sees United States going bankrupt and he will not be able to give the quality of care he would want for his patients and so he is leaving. United States is trillions in debt while other countries are not that bad off.

Canada has government run healthcare? What is he - running to?

My doctors are STAYING too. And they are the best of the best in the country.

If your company puts 500 in your account, does that mean the first few times, for example, until you use up the 500, you don't pay ANYTHING or is it the opposite...you pay the entire office visit cost until you reach that 500?
