We have (or will all have) new software called 7.1 which has some glitches, but overall I like it better than DQS6.1 or whatever version we were on. If you were here before, you know a lot depends on your CCM and whether you are tossed into the cesspool or have a steady account. Good luck!

Some steady accounts are awful - old and burned out

I've been doing this a long time and would like to keep using my skills part-time but the work I have now is so terrible that I don't know how much longer I can hang in. Almost every report is dictated from a nurses' station and sometimes the background conversations and noise are as loud as the dictators. My guess is 80% of the dictators are ESL and even the Americans are poor dictators. Think of every bad dictating practice you can and they are all here on these accounts in spades. There is always lots of work because I don't think there are that many MTs out there who can stand it.

I've been on mandatory OT for months & have the most horrific accounts I've - ever had in my life. NM

My neck hurts so badly by the end of a 10 hour day, that I dont think I can continue. Then, you get the email that says, if you are not scheduled today, you must work 4 hours, and if you are, you must add on 2! So, I have been working 7 days a week. About to throw in the towel. I dont even care anymore. I dont even get an "I appreciate all the hours you have put in" email. The blanket "great job team" is not cutting it anymore. Hope the CCM is enjoying the bonus for keeping TAT at 100%. I dont enjoy anything anymore!

What type of ear phones are MTs using nowadays? I keep breaking my head set (the wires break inside and I have to hold them just right to use them). I have taken the tests, had a phone interview, and the person from the phone interview said my next step was to fill out an application on line.
