For those of you who have received the 15 minutes - of pay for NJA

Posted: Sep 30, 2010

how do you know you've been paid that time by looking at your pay stub?

And does it show up on your time sheets as an adjustment by your CCM?

The reason I ask is because I don't believe I have ever been paid this 15 minutes of time (the waiting time when we get NJA).

I asked about this recently.  I asked both my CCM and payroll, and my question was never answered...it was just swept under the rug as if I never asked.

I am planning to call the labor department about this because it seems to me MQ is trying to screw me over yet again.  They have failed to pay me PTO 3 times now, and each time I have to jump through 1000 hoops to get it fixed...and now this.  I'm tired of jumping through hoops to get my correct pay.

If someone could let me know how I can differentiate this 15 minutes on my pay stub and/or time sheet, I would appreciate it!

I assume the Wrk AV Mwage on pay stub is the - 15 mins of NJA, but who knows. NM

Yeah, that's, it, and .........sm - mb

It shows up on your time sheet as .25 of admin time. I get paid for about 3 out of every 5 NJA requests I submit. I send email after email and my CCM ignores me. Sometimes I just give up, it's just too much trouble for $1.85! That doesn't make it suck any less, tho.

you have to nag them to do it - seriously

They do not like to submit becuase the CCMs get "scolded" for having it on there. They try to talk us out of getting it by saying "you can make more if you make up your time."

This is a company policy because they make us sit there for 15 minutes but then dont want to pay it.

The reason I insist on it is not for the money... I want this on my card as proof there was no work and forced to sit and wait for work. Additionally, if I run out every day, that is 1:15 each week that I do not HAVE to make up! Where there is no work, how do you make up all that time and still get PTO?

I think everyone of us needs to fight to get this!
I have just submitted a ticket, emailed my - CCM and emailed the

payroll contact from LAST time they messed up my check (which was just the last pay period).

This is the second pay period in a row they have not paid me my requested PTO. Now I know that they have NEVER paid me that 15 minutes of NJA.

By golly, they will pay it, and if they don't want to, I will report them for it. At this point, with all the NJA I've had, it amounts to quite a bit of money...not to mention hours.
I'm with you on the NJA, but I will say that my good CCM did give me time for the downtime of t - beyondbelief

And furthermore, I would like to address the person in my post below when I was so upset over many issues. It was totally inappropriate for you to address my post as such, and assume I was stupid for working on Sundays. I have been with the Q for going on 18 years now. I have always had sunday hours. I am NOT a brainwashed employee. I was simply asking for a response to whether anyone who was part of the DQS downage this past weekend being given the downtime. Quite frankly, I have not gotten but maybe 2 of the numerous NJA times on my timecard. My CCM still did not get the okay about the downtime, but she is putting it in anyway. Shame on you MQ for trying to deny it happened. It was a major issue. And whomever was the put down specialist below, shame on you. We are all in this together, and for whatever reason we are choosing to stay with the Q. This is a site where we are supposed to be able to vent our frustrations without recriminations.

Just to say, thank you to my CCM. Now another issue. For all these 18 years I have only been brought to notice on 2 reports that were wrong. I have taken pay cuts w/o complaint. I PRIDE myself on being a quality document. For the first time in over 5 years I get audited, and what is the pits is it was an account I had NEVER transcribed before!!!! I got a 91.8 and one of the errors was for a misplaced semicolon for crying out loud!!! Now, that is totally ridiculous!!! I am not one of the high paid employees, I took my pay cuts. I am also very sick, but continue to work for them; having only 4 years until I can retire... Now this audit on a TOTALLY unfamiliar account, and there were really only 2 glaring obvious errors I made (actually added something that was not dictated, and supposedly put a date of service that was wrong???)

So go ahead, slammer friend from below, Bash me again for my stupidity...

Wow. I Have Been Clocked In 45 Minutes, And My Inactive Time Shows As 34 Minutes.

It appears to be only counting the active time to be the actual time the audio is playing and not all the time I spend in ADT and formatting. Looks like they may be manipulating the figure to ding people "for not actively working" for long periods of time. Hmmm, building another way to fire people? ...

Did Anyone See 60 Minutes?
May 11, 2011

There was a story on the people who lost their jobs. They have COBRA, but there are no jobs, unemployment pays $200/week or so, and COBRA insurance costs $1600/month (I can't remember the exact amount). So they are jobless, losing their homes because they can't pay their mortgages, moving in with other family members, who also have lost their jobs, and of course have no medical insurance.  My heart went out to one woman when she just cried out that she didn't know where they ...

Anyone Know If We Get 10 Minutes With NJA And
Jul 05, 2011

then maybe 1 or 2 short jobs and then NJA again - do we have to wait another 15 minutes or do you count the prevous 10 minutes of waiting and just wait 5 more minutes.  I could go on all morning with waiting 8, 10, 12 minutes, then get 1 job, then wait 5 minutes, get a job and so on and so on.  Should I just add the total wait time until I get to 15 minutes or do I need to have a solid 15 minutes before I can log off? ...

73 freakin' lines because of the way the dictator did.  Very slow, lots of stopping and dead air, repeating himself.  In fact, he dictated the Impression 5 times and would say correction and start over.  He even had the nerve to laugh and snicker and said "to start over again".  Wish I could reach through the computer, down all lines to wherever the **** this jerk is and rip his tonsils out by hand without anesthesia. ARG.  Glad I'm done!  And he is a ESL ...

I have a question about the NJA policy.  On the 15 minutes downtime you get for waiting for jobs, is this just once a day or as many times as you do it in a day.  For instance, if you wait for 15 minutes and no work and then come back in an hour and work a while and then no jobs do you get the 15 minutes again and so on.  Thanks. ...
