Does it take anybody forever to get a day off approved? - anon

I asked off for 4 hours on a Friday in April to go see Elton John in another town. Still is not approved. Hate to tell her, but I have the tickets, asked off in ample time and she can just get over it. But it is still sitting as a "request" and not "granted" on Schedule Source. I guess she will finally grant it THAT day when she sees the workload?

off and requested the time off and asked about 1 week or so in advance and was approved within 24 hours. Try resending the ORIGINAL email one more time. If still no reply, their loss. Enjoy the concert lucky girl!!

Searched and searched for carbon copy doctor. Put in the QA note that it sounded like Dr. "Mabel Vomit," but forgot to check it to send to QA so it went to the hospital. Yep, this FTR is great.

I thought for an unclear cc, we are to leave a QA note on what it sounds like and send directly to client.

That is my understanding, and that is what I do.

heard a peep and this was a while ago. In fact, anytime I have left a QA note in the box, have not heard anything back. hope this helps.

forbidden by the client profile to leave a note regarding cc, I always leave one concerning unable to document names. My defense is HITECH. FTR should not supersede HITECH.

Since my first day of training and at any retraining or update calls or general emails from my CCM, I have been told that you NEVER put a sounds like in a note and you never put in anything that is unprofessional. Reasons: 1. Th client can see the notes. 2. If you are sending it to QA, seeing an incorrect name can interfere with the ability to listen and possibly hear the correct name.

Do other BOBs and regions have a lesser standard?

The cushion on my office chair became hard & uncomfortable, so I decided to get one of those Forever Comfy cushions. Worked great.... for about 2 months. Now it's all flattened out and lumpy and is really uncomfortable. I spend all day moving it, adjusting it, trying to get comfortable. I don't want to buy another office chair, but I'd like a cushion the same size as the Forever Comfy (18 x 13 1/2) that I can stick inside the cover or just replace altogether ...

an application? I submitted one at least 2 weeks ago... and it was no easy process as I couldn't log into the system, yada, yada. So, that makes me even wonder if they got my app and resume. I just checked the AHIMA website for coding programs and I noticed that they have Career Step on their list of "AHIMA approved coding programs" but I could not find Andrews School listed at all on their site. Is AHIMA approval for coding as important as AHDI approval for transcription programs? Everyone recommends Andrews for coding but Im confused now. Could someone explain please. It seems like a lot of people on this board have gone or are going to Andrews for coding. I have seen a lot of jobs for coders where you obviously need to be certified but also have done your education through an AHIMA approved program. Isn't Andrews NOT approved through AHIMA? Wouldn't it be better for me to just do my training through AHIMA? Seems like a lot of money to spend on a program that isn't recognized by AHIMA. ...

My TSM told us to not make up for NSA outside of our shift unless we touch base with her first to make sure all shifts have access to work. I know work is slim around the clock, but hoping this will even things out a bit. Wondering how she is going to make sure some people aren't still booking in lines off their shift.
