Anyone due to start training with Spheris/MQ? - NM

Horrible recruiter! - see message

I tried to start with them, but couldn't make it past the recruiter. The one with initials ****. I applied and she responded with "when is a good time to talk." I responded and she never called. Finally after a week, she responds and has me test. It took several days for her to tell me I passed the test and set up a time to call. She never called. I emailed and emailed. Finally she responds again saying she would call on such and such day and again didn't call. Wouldn't answer emails or phone calls. I finally gave up. Total waste of my time. Someone should do something about that woman. Half of her email says MedQuist the other half says Spheris. She can't even remember who she works for now. Maybe MQ got rid of the Spheris recruiters and left everyone who applied up in the air. I never did get to talk to anyone about employment.

MedQuist and Spheris are one now. She was probably hiring on the Spheris accounts. Are you absolutely positive that she never called you? Or maybe tried to call you, but you didn't answer? A lot of recruiters won't waste their time with multiple phone calls and attempts to reach potential hires if they won't answer the phone. Usually if you miss the second call, they give up and move on. Also, if they ask you a good date and time, be sure to give them a specific date and time and a phone number at which they can reach you. In other words, don't just say, "Well, I am available between 9:00 am - 11 am or 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm. Most recruiters do try to accommodate the people they are trying desperately to hire. Just playing devil's advocate here, because I have been a recruiter and an MT for quite a few years myself.
