AHDI and Medquist Honor MTs of the Year - Were they in north region with NJA daily

Does anyone know the region(s) the MTs work that were recently honored by the CEO? How can you be considered for this award if you constantly get NJA now? North region out of work since early this morning. Even 11pm shift now has NJA daily.

I am in north and I have work - what is with that

Who cares who was honored... they were probably MTs who do a lot of behind smooching or are friends of the CCMs anyway.

No idea but still getting NJA? Have you had work all day? - Amazing.

Maybe some of them are from here too.

With the exception of a few reports here and there, I feel like I've been on vacation. I'm probably going to owe MQ on my next pay check!

Have you been getting NJA in SE region a lot recently? NJA for me in north just started about 6-8 weeks ago. Last paycheck really pitiful.

at least, possibly longer.

Today is the second day in a row that I've had no work at all...none. I had 3 days in a row last week that I had no work at all.

I'm a Tier 3, type everything, do ASR and straight typing and work on anywhere from 10-12 different accounts. It blows my mind that there can be NO WORK! It's really unbelievable.

It has given me lots of time to look for and apply for jobs, though...lol. I'm thinking of leaving MT all together.

I can't pay bills off of "waiting for work" and a few dollars each paycheck. Clearly the availability of work is being manipulated to our disadvantage. I'm truly tired at this point. I really am. What else is there to do but leave.

I will be graduating from TTC's Medical Transcription class soon so I am now wondering if I should join AHDI and if I should take the RMT. I have read the information on the AHDI site which of course points to the pros of both. But I have also read posts from seasoned MTs who have not joined AHDI and some of them say that taking the RMT (or CMT for that matter) carries very little, if any, weight when locating a job. My membership has expired and in today's mail was a membership renewal request from AHDI. I tossed it in the trash. I was looking for the BOS, 3rd edition. This only comes in the book format and on-line yearly subscription. It does not come on a CD-ROM. So, at the yearly price of $30, they charge you over and over again for something that we all know won't be updated until they decide to present the 4th edition. What a bunch of scam artists. What is even the PURPOSE of the AAMT/AHDI or whatever they call themselves now?
