where do you put groin exam results - 1mt

Wondering, if there is no heading for a groin exam, which section do you put it under, extremities or abdomen? Or do you make a separate heading for groin? TIA

I normally make a separate heading for a groin exam, but in this case he gives the groin findings and then says... and distal pulses are symmetrical. What I did was make a separate heading for the groin findings and put the pulse statement under extremities. Just wondering what others might do. Thanks.

many docs just dictate findings without the heading.

I'm not laughing at you but with you, honestly. When I saw you asked abdomen or extremities, I truly laughed. (No matter what men tell you, it's NOT an extremity!)

It goes under abdomen, unless they are talking about the penis, then it's under genitourinary.

in this particular case, extremities would be acceptable as well. It's a bit nebulous, isn't it? I wouldn't mark up either on your QA. Definitely not GU, though.

I almost sent a report to QA. The only reason I didn't was because it was a high line count document and I couldn't risk the possible submission rate due to its high line count. Not very wise choice of how to grade the submission rate MQ. I don't like sending a document to the client with blanks, but there comes a time when self protection kicks in. PM likes the FTR low QA submission rate. We will see how PM likes it when the clients starting noticing ...
