physician's addresses

When filling out my some paperwork, I found it a little odd that at least 3 different addresses are used and the addresses on my W2 and pay stub are different. Seems a little shady to me, but I'm not surprised. ...

Does anyone else ever have a problem with a doctor/nurse, etc. who sends out letters or just on regular reports who gives no complete names or addresses? We have a place to go look them up but it does sometimes take a chunk out of my time doing it. One or two minutes means a lot sometimes. I have one doctor who dictates letters to "Dr. Smith, Dr. Jones," etc. and there are only about 10 of each of those listed and sometimes you cannot tell what the specialty is to look it up.&n ...

So, I did the whole process of copying Word 2003 autocorrect with the support.doc macro, and it worked wonderfully. Only thing, it didn't copy any of the doc addresses I had on the original computer. Took everything else though. Any ideas? ...

I have alway been told when in doubt, leave a blank. Resident did not give attending physician's name. There was a doctor's name in the hearder as attending, but I was not sure so I left the attending line blank at the bottom of the report. The doctor I transcribe for sometimes says "Associated Physician" and sometimes says "Associative Physician" and then lists the doctor's name. Sometimes he will also list a "Primary Physician." Since we have a (lengthy) Do Not Use list, I think the doctors should be versed in proper dictating form with a Do Not Dictate list to include "next", "next number", "new line", "skip line", "and", and "uh, uh, uh" and all those other little irritating words that ASR loves! Charge them 3 cents MORE per line of dictation if they can't maintain 98% with no blanks sent back to them!!!!!!!! ...

correct patient name/number. It's really scary the way they screw these things up. If they would slow down and pay attention to what they are doing, my guess is that it wouldn't happen nearly as often as it does. If they would quit overbooking/overloading themselves with patients, then maybe they could slow down enough to properly take care of the patients they have.
